I am presently just checking into having the banding done. I have attended a webinar and have done some research. I am looking to find out more about the pre-op liquid diet and what items one can choose from to drink so that I can try it out before I commit to the banding. I would like to lose about 40 or so lbs before I actually have the surgery and was thinking that if I could do 2 weeks on and then a week modified (soft foods like eggs, sf jello, sf yogurts) and back on the liquids for about 3-4 months, that would give me a great start. I am type 2 diabetic and have bad knee joint pain as I have thin cartiledge. Really looking for specific products.
