Hi my name is Michelle. In 2008 I had asked my Doc at Ft Lewis Wa for help in losing wieght were all he said was work out more. At that time I didnt want surgery but some medical suport in trying to lose wieght and was so hurt when he said that. Shortly after that my husband got orders to move to Germany so I figured that new county new start new chapter in life. We walked every were I was doing really good and on one of my appointments she sujested I looked in to wieght loss surgery and I was really shocked since my last Doc didnt even want to help with wieght loss. I did go home talk to my husband who said I should do it if its something I really wanted. So end of 2009 I talked to my Doc and started papper work and with in one week of it being put in I was apporved to go meet with a one of the 2 docs that tir care covered so I picked Professor Rudolf Weiner I went for my consult on Feb 1 2010 and we talked about my choices and set up a date for surgery  Feb 17 2010 the day of surgery i was 276 pounds. The bigest factor of why I desided to have lap band is I wanted a way to slowly lose wieght that was a tool to help me. I never thought how much something so little could make my life so much better. i Did at first question why did I do this it felt likei had a rock in my stomic and i was sooooooo thirsty. Once I was aloud to drink everything got alot better and once i was out of the hospital i felt like a new person. It has helped me be the person I have all ways wanted to be and the wife and mother my family desurves to have since now i am more willing to go out and not be some fat shut in.
