    Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!

I did not feel restriction until around the 4th fill. Then it only lasted about 2 months and I was able to eat more. Now....on my 5th fill...another story. Going strong on that fill now for right at a year. I'm down to my last 10 pounds...which is the hardest.

    PB'ing...

I am one year and 4 months out. It's not that bad...if you're at home and take your time with it. What I have found hard is when I'm out in public and this happens. It usually takes a few not so discreet visits to the bathroom. And then an explanation to my group that I'm not bulemic. My friends have all learned the "signs" and have been great buffers.

    Starting point 180?

I am VERY short...5'00" which was why my BMI was high. Yes, I was self pay- I would have had to gain 40 more pounds for my insurance to pay (which I was on my way without trying to). I just couldn't see gaining to lose but knew I had to do something to stop the gain.

    Starting point 180?

Hi. Anyone out there start out around 180 and go down from there? If so, how have you done? How long has it been since surgery? Looking for someone with the same dimensions:)

    October 2006 Bandsters!

I was banded on 10/6/06. Down 14 pounds....still on mushies....getting a little old...but scared about the next phase and how I will handle it.

To Tell or not to Tell!

I started only telling a few...but then decided (because I know me) to tell anyone who asked because me knowing they knew would keep me from learning the "tricks" and breaking the rules. I am only 3 weeks out and so far everyone has been supportive and very curious.

    Newbie

Hi all. I just had lap band 1 week ago. I had my first mashed potatoes today. While I was eating, I did not get the feeling I was full but stopped after a few bites anyway. But when I stood up I was so full I could hardly breath. Is this normal? How do I know when to stop? I almost want to go back to broth where I knew how much. Help!
