I'm 27 and work in the health field so being over weight is very tough. I always been big but growing up I was athletic big mostly muscle. It wasn't til I got married I started putting on weight and then when we got divorced even more. I've been so unhappy looking in the mirror I avoid them. I use to care about the way I looked and dressed and lately all I wear is jeans and a baggy shirt. Someone told me about my doctor and I decided to make a appointment and see what they say. I did and he has worked really fast with me. I am scheduled for surgery on 3/16/10 and am very excited about the journey ahead. I know it will be rough but I have faith I can do this it's something I really want. I am tired of being diebetic just because I am over weight insulin is no fun. The doctor said I probably won't have to take insulin when I get the weight off so there is something else I can look forward to down the road. I have a very supportive family behind me in this cheering me on the whole way. So it shall be a good road. As I say now time to begin the rest of my life and start a new chapter!
