I am just now getting started,I have been to the seminar,my first appt. with the surgeon is tomorrow 3-11-10..I have already collected my medical records,and called my insurance BCBS of NC,they told me since my BMI is above 40 that I qualify automatically and I will def..be approved and they try to have it approved within 1 week of the Dr faxing it to them.So hopefully it will be a smooth process,it has been to easy so far and I know for sure I will more than likely find some bumps in the road.I am mid forties and have been heavy most all my life,but in the past few years losing both my parents and my daughter,the stress eating I have put on alot of weight and am now FAT.All my aunts,uncles on my moms side of my family including my mom,have all had heart attacks in their 50s,and I know if I don't get help I am going to die.I have researched lapband very thoroughly and I feel it is the right thing for me.I hope to meet others who know what I am going through and maybe give me courage and support to go through with this.I am so happy to find this site and I am sure I will spend ALOT of time on here.
