I've been waiting since the fall of 2008 for my surgery.  I'm almost there.  I have to be on my insurance plan for three years.  The big day is June 13th so True Reults will be submitting my file after that.  We should have approval within a few weeks.  I was told that I meet all the requirements after that.  I truly hope so.  My diabetes is getting the best of me.  I have three young children that need me.  I don't want to leave them behind like my father did.  We were both diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 28.  Despite taking better care of myself than my father I've been dealing with several medical issues over the past four years.  I'm afraid.  My dad died when he was 47.  If I continue his path I would be leaving an 11, 15 and 18 year old behind.  I can't do that to my kids.  I truly hope everything goes my way.  I'm looking forward to a new healthier me :-)
