From everything I've read, the lowest BMI they accept is about 35. But the gastric sleeve is for people with a lower BMI. maybe you should read into that?:thumbup: -

I'll be going south of the border too! My mother went a couple years ago to get it done, then she took her best friend a couple months ago to get banded and now I get to go in may to get banded. I'm very excited. Not only is it a vacation (ill be going down a couple days before hand) but also a life changing experience! Good luck! We'll be in it together! -

My mother who had was banded a couple years ago in mexico, is gracious enough to say that she will pay for my surgery. The only thing that scares me is the 2 week postop liquid diet. :sad: But I'm willing to push forward and do what I NEED to do to become healthier.
