I'm originally from Houston and visit fairly frequently. Maybe we could meet up some time and talk about our experiences.

These are the things I'd like to hear though. I feel like sometimes my doctor sugar coats things and I want to know the nitty gritty so that I can be fully prepared. I am 100% determined to go through with the surgery no matter what I hear, I just want to know what to expect. But you're right..we will do this!!!

The wait does feel like forever! I think about the surgery daily and about what preperations I can make. Glad to hear it goes by faster than I'm feeling. Congrats on being so close! I'd love to hear the details when the surgery is over, if you wouldn't mind. Looks like our start weight is pretty close. I'm at 274 currently and hoping to lose 144 lbs. When I weighed 135 I was at my best. I hope that weight is possible for me again!
