awwww, hope you feel better soon! i just found out my band slipped , and went in to remove all liquid. now i have to wait 2 weeks to let it move back to place? ohh no i worried!!!! did you go threw this process?

so glad to see a runner!!!! i too have taken on running marathons after my surgery!!!! now ive moved on to tri athlons and ultra marathons! congrats! -
Well its been 3 years since being banded!!!! and i WEIGH 123pounds!!!!!! I run more than ever! jut comepleted a triathlon, and running a marathon in 3 week and an ultr marathon the lat week of october!!! i feel great!!!

Hi everyone, im 10 days into getting banded and feel great so far ! im in the city and i would love to meet other city bandsters! i got my banding at west lake in melrose, with docs from suburban surgery center in elmwood! lets make friendsand start a city support group on this site! yay chicago! -

Omg! this has been happening to me,its day 10 days since getting banded ,but this pain happens to me wen i TALK:blushing: alot,like have a conversation! this is worrying me because i am a marathoner and i do not want this to get in the middle of my races or have this be the reason why i have to walk a race! help! -

Halloween Challenge

Yay! well im excited ,i really want to do the challenge,although, do i qualify if i just got banded on september 2nd? i think this is a good push and support team type of thing for me,since i feel soo lonely on this journey. its soo hard to see my husband eat a spinach and feta wholefoods pizza (the best on earth) and i eat beef broth... well hope to see everyones progress and weight drop!!:thumbup: -
well i just got banded sept 2nd and im home now! i dont know if its the discomfort thats got me so blue but so many things are running threw my head right now ... i want to cry everytime i walk into the kitchen,i keep thinking im never going to eat again,even though i know its not true.. i was even regretful lastnight. please someone tell me this is going to pass or should i all the pshycologist for support. im afraid of sharing this with family because i dont want anyone to say i told you sooo! i need words of encouragment......:confused:

it just seems like this day is sooo far! sept.2nd......does anyone begin to get nervous on the day before the surgery? i suffer from anxiety,and i know im bound ti explode that day its only building,and suggestions out there?

hi there, congrats! this is a long journey,and im trying to stay patient! i was sopossed to get banded on aug.26th but the day i went in to the office to get all the directions for surgery the very mess up of a nurse realizes she had me down for the wrong surgeon and not my actual one! omg! now i dont know when my date is but its definetly in sept! this has taken soo long becuz of this one nurse who forgets she calls me then forgets the questions she had for me! and has made a million mistakes with my paperwork!:thumbup: -

Hi everyone, wow this is new to me! i never heard of a low profile port,but wonder if i can still request one since my surgery is on the 26th! I do have a friend whos had the lap band and lost weight and you can really see her port! not nice! is this costlier?:thumbup: -
