    Hair Loss

Hello All I had my lapband surgery on March 1st of 2010 and have had a loss of almost 120 pounds. I wouldn't say that I have had hair loss but I have had major breakage. I was reading something online about Hair Essentials. Has anyone heard of this. They are with the BBB. Please let me know I am trying anything. Thank you.

    Junk Food

Why is the junk food so easy to get down. "Normal" food is so much harder to take in. Making it easier just to make that choice to eat the junk food. It's really a struggle to do the right thing...does anyone agree??

    Good Food vs. Bad Food

Yes this is true...but I don't do it on purpose...I get so busy sometimes that i don't really think about the food any longer like I used to...

    Good Food vs. Bad Food

Thanks for the reply...I guess that is why we have to chew the good food up so well...but since I don't experience a lot of hunger anymore...sometimes I forget to eat and by the time I do eat I am ravenous...and that first big bite will do in the whole meal for me...hard to swallow that...so then I lose my appetite...does that happen to anyone??
  7. I feel like I am getting shorter...is this normal?? I have to get my son to reach things for me now.
  8. Hello All, has anyone else had this...it seems like it is so much easier to get down the bad foods then it is to get the good foods down...just wondering...i have really really good restriction now and it seems like if i take a bite of something bad...it goes down easy...take a bite of something good...goes down harder...and they can be the same size in bite...anyone else get this??? Something to ponder.:scared2:
  9. May sound a little weird but has anyone else been worried about it?? When we eat things that go down "hard" does that affect the size of your pouch? I have been wondering about this. Anyone Else? Thank you all.
  10. Hello...I am hypothyroid...and i notice if i skip my medicine the weight slows down...dont know if that is in my head or not...lol Heaviest weight...316 Presurgery weight...290 Current weight...223
  11. Hey all...I have written several times on here...my question is when I eat something that goes down very rough...for a little while after that i feel like i have a ball in my throat...does anyone else get that feeling? I do not want to stretch my pouch and dont know what that is...is it just from something going down hard...a lot of what i eat does go down pretty rough...but i dont think i am chewing good enough...i am still learning that thru trial and error...i would like anyone's input...thanks and everyone keep up the great work....

So it hurts to eat with the band?

The above are correct in chewing...I am still learning that I have to chew my food...had my surgery in March and if you dont chew your food or you eat too fast...there will be pain like you wouldn't believe...I mainly get it with the first bite of food (still learning)...but i wish you good luck with that process!!!
  15. I have been hearing a lot on this forum about slider foods. Can someone give me some examples...I want to make sure I am not eating them.
