I am a 60 year old, soon to be, grandmother of two. I have been overweight since the age of 5 years old. After 45 years of dieting, I no longer can successfully lose weight. Actually, if successfully losing weight means keeping it off, I have never been successful. I could "carry" my weight rather well, I always considered myself strong and able to handle it. Although I do not have high blood pressure or diabetes, I have deteriation of my hips, knees, ankles and feet. I am afraid what the next 5 years will bring if I do not change my life soon. I am seriously considering the LapBand surgery and am scheduled to go to a seminar this week.
