  1. Thank you everyone!! :)... Just wondering too, how long after surgery before we can drive again?

  2. I'm doing well, have been super busy. Haven't really been following my pre-op diet, but I am still down, so I guess that's what matters right? Surgery is Tuesday, although this time it feels different... not as excited about it as the first scheduled one, I feel like I just want to get it over with. And now I am scared, I am scared that I wont be able to lose weight even with surgery, I'm super afraid of failing... I dont knwo mixed feelings ya know? other than that... not much. I've been thinking about you as well, hoping that it's all been good for you, but since I havent really had time to even breathe... I havent been able to write.

How is post-op treating you? how much are you down now? you need to post some pics... maybe that will motivate me.. :)

Anyhoo, gotta run, gotta go get some last minute blood work done for my surgery on tuesday. Take care and keep in touch. Have a beautiful Mother's day if I don't get to talk to you before.

  3. OMG that's awesome! I am soo happy for you. I hope to have the same success as you.

This is my last weekend of real food, and I hate to say this, but I have not done a pre-op at all.. since I did it before my first scheduled surgery and lost the 5 lbs the doc wanted me to, I've been taking advantage of this week to eat.. haven't gained though, which is the important thing. Well keep taking care of yourself and keep up the good work. Happy Mothers day if I don't to you again.

  4. I'm so glad to hear you're doing well. Hopefully the allergic reaction is better now. So what's the name of the protein shake? I like mine, but I have only tried it with milk... not too sure about water and shake..yuck..hehe.

So has anything unexpected happened other than the allergic reaction? Is it all what you thought it would be so far?

    How's the weightloss?

sorry lots of questions prior to my turn :) Well take care... good luck with the post op diet.

    a little about me...

Hi Guys... So I'm totally new at this blogging thing.. so I apologize if it reads funny. I'll get the hang of it one day. So just to give you a little background. I am 32, mother of two. I have been battleing my weight since I was about 10, with lots of losses and more gains. I finally decided to do the Lap Band, because I am at a witts end with this battle. Originally I was scheduled for my surgery on April 20th, however I started to feel a little sick a few days before, lots of trembling and super super cold.. but no fever. I thought as long as I didn't have a fever, I was safe for my surgery. Well to my luck the night before, after going to bed with 5 blankets and still cold, I woke up at 1am and had 102.7 fever. At that time I called the doctor and he postponed my surgery, he said most likely I had an infection, Oh boy did I... I had the worst bladder / UTI infection I have ever had, and to top it off I had diverticulitis, which is also an infection but in the intestins :w00t:. I had both things going on at once... thank God my surgery was postponed, I can't imagine feeling as sick as I did on top of a surgery. Well now I am scheduled for May 11th.. cross my fingers it will happen this time . Feel free to contact me any time or to add me on as friends. I am looking foward to new friendships that will develop along with support for a mutual surgery that will tie us together. I wish everyone the best of luck!! Take care Chrissy:wub:
  15. I am so glad to hear you're ok. I can't believe you can eat banana already. My doct is making me go on clear liquids for one week, liquids for the next two and mushies on the 4th. I guess that's why I get to eat protein all the way up until surgery.

I actually have not started my pre op again, I am watching what I eat and still dropping slowly. I'm down 6lbs in 3 weeks, so I guess I dropped what he needed me to. In addition, I dont know if I am going all wrong about this, but phsycologically I am eating every meal as if it were my last one, I am fully enjoying it, and am not extremely worried about losing the weight at this point, I figure that will happen once I have the surgery. Did that happen to you?

So how much weight have you lost?

Well I really am glad that you are doing well, hopefully that port discomfort will go away soon. Take care and keep me posted. :)

  16. oh by the way... what would you say your average weightloss per week was?

  17. Thank you! you are super inspirational!

  18. I was reading your messages and noticed that you hubby was supposed to get it done too. Mine would like to in the back of his mind, but he continues to chicken out as well... I hope that when he sees my susccess he will get on the band wagon and join us on the banded side.

So how is your weightloss so far? Wish you luck on this journey, take care. :)

  19. Waow, gotta tell you what every one else does... YOU LOOK GREAT! How long did it take you to lose 100 lbs?

and Have you found this jorney to be difficult?
