:angry:Does anyone go there in Woodbridge, VA? Whats going on with the staff and Drs. there. Dr. Mahtemework is not there and they will not discuss where he is. I aske dot speak or see Dr. Tran and they said hes not seeing band patients or hes not there either. Dr. halmi is the only one seeing patients and the schedule is so tight you cant get in. I am still not haveing restriction and I have 9ccs in my 11cc band - im worried now if something is not right with my band - did it slip - is on properly. everyone else i talk to has restriction before 7.5ccs. Any advice or help and anyone know any info on the office let me know.:thumbup:

I have to give you an update! For all of those that read my last thread about no restriction. I went to the Dr. on Friday for a fill. I saw Dr. Tran because Dr. Mahtemework does not work there anymore. Dr. Tran drew out all the saline in my band to see just how much was really there. To my amazement it was only 5ccs not 9. So he gave me 2 more so now I'm up to 7 and I HAVE RESTRICTION! OMG its scary but I'm happy I finally feel like Im on my way. However I have to go back on June 11 to make sure its not leaking - if it is leaking I will have to change my port - Im not happy about that but I think my previous fills were not going into the port. Hey Banders, I have 9ccs in my 11cc band and I still do not have restriction! is there anyone out there haveing this problem? This is so frustrating to me! I dont know what to do....HELP

I have an appt too on the 28th at 2pm. Do you want to switch times with me. I really wanted a early appt because I come 45 minutes away to get there and that time of day the traffic will be awful. They told me I will be seeing Dr. Halmi that day

I go to the Woodbridge office and they just keep saying hes not in the office and they dont know when he will be back. I have received a fill from Dr. Tran before too. never Dr. halmi. i am glad to head you have 9.2ccs. Do you feel a huge difference? What were you before this fill?

Hey Slim - where do you go for your fills. I go to Bluepoint Surgical group in Woodbridge. I have only lost about 30lbs since Sept. and I work out on a regular and I try to watch what I eat but its hard when you can eat with out restriction.

I got a huge rash around one of my incisions on my left side and it itched like crazy and it took about a month to go away

i have the same concerns as you. I go on the 28th for a upper gi i hope they dont have to go back in but i just try to exercise and eat less on my own but its so far because i am stressed about this.

Yes I can eat just as much if I allow myself to do it - I can still eat anything i mean anything and honestly just as much and like I said I have 9ccs in a 11cc band

I am experiencing the same thing - I have no restriction and I am SUPPOSE to have 9ccs in my band!

No I'm a freak i have 7.5ccs in an 11cc band and I still dont have the restriction I want and hear everyone talking about. I seriously want to throw up just one time - i can still eat all the foods i used to and I have never gotten sick. I have to stop on my own and its hard!

you are doing great - you have lost more than me and I am 4 months post op! Hang in there I am going thru the same feelings, it is hard i'm not gonna lie but its worth it - keep up the good work and you will see results. I work out at least 4 days every week and i see it in inches but not on the scale, but I'm gonna keep going and hopefully it will pay off SOON!

:sleep:I am at 7.5ccs and I have only lost 27 pounds. I had surgery on Sept. 22. I had 4 fills already and non seem to give restriction. They all start off like they are but then nothing. I actually gained 2 pounds last month! Igo back on April 2 for another fill. My band only holds 11ccs. What happens if I get to 11 and still nothing. I work out at least 3-5 days a week and I try to eat healthy most of the time. I have lost lots of inches but no weight. I am down to a size 18 from a 24 when I started.....I want to see the scale decrease! Any suggestions......:mad2::sneaky::sad::ohmy::mad::frown:

OMG you are kicking butt! you got banded on 10-21-09...wow I wanna be like you when I grow UP! LOL

he asked me if i wanted to come sooner i told him no mainly because of the co pay but i decided I am going to try to do some things differently to try to kick start me back to losing

Oh i am so glad to hear this because I am at 7.5ccs and I feel a little resistance but still not there like I hear others talk about. My Dr told me 9ccs should do me too and he plans to do that on my next fill in April. Yesterday i started feeling really full after less food then usual. Keep up the good work. Ive lost 25 pounds since I started in april but I didnt have surgery until Sept.
