I didn't know nuts were off limits. I'm doing the Atkins diet and I have eaten peanuts and pastachios with no problem, but I chew them very well. Sheila

Good Bye 190's/Day 3 on Atkins Diet

Thanks! It may sound nasty, but it is really good. I fry my ground beef patties and once they're done I keep the residue in there and cut up a little onion and let it fry a bit and pour in some heavy whipping cream a little black pepper, about two splashes of worchestire and a little salt to taste. I let it simmer for about three minutes then I add my patties in and let everything simmer for about five minutes. The residue and the patties will turn the whipping cream brown like gravy. Now the cheesecake, I use a spring foam pan, so I don't have that yummy graham cracker crust. I use two packages of cream cheese, Splenda, two eggs, vanilla flavor, a little lemon juice, and sour cream (optional). Be blessed! -
Well I have FINALLY move out of the 190's!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2: I am at 189!!!:whoo::whoo:Today is day three of the Atkins diet and I'm glad for some reason the first three days are the tougest. I got up this morning and did my 3 1/2 miles, I ran and walked. Menu: 7/4 Breakfast: Nothing Lunch: left overs two ground beef patties w/ my special ZERO carb gravy, sauteed broccoli w/ garlic and butter. Snack: I said in my previous journal entry that my cheesecake had no carbs, but it has 1 carb per serving in the cream cheese. Dinner: Over night seasoned grilled chicken wings w/ grilled zucchini squash w/butter and chopped garlic and a dab of Better Than Boullion (yes!) I just mixed the garlic, butter, and BTB together and once the zucchini is ready I use a BBQ brush and spread it on! Oh yea and low carb/sugarfree cole slaw. Exercise: 3 1/2 miles walked and ran Be blessed!

I've decided to start the Atkins Diet to get the last 21 pounds off me. I started on 7/2, so maybe this will get the fat to burn once I reach the Ketosis stage. Menu-7/2 Breakfast: Nothing Lunch: Wendy's pattie w/ cheese and lettuce Peanuts 6 carbs Sugarfree raspberry tea Dinner: Ground beef pattie w/ my super good ZERO carb gravy w/ slices of jalepenos Steamed veggies (broccoli sauteed in butter and garlic) 1 Slice of ZERO carb cheese cake. Exercise: 3 1/2 miles Be blessed!

I didn't meet my goal for June and honestly I have slack on my eating. I still work out a lot (walking mostly), but I need to start lifting weights to get my arms and legs in shape. I need to lose 21 more pounds to be at goal. So I don't know what I need to do to get them off. I was thinking about doing the low carb diet again to lose and gain muscle, but I'm not sure. I know I am tired of being stuck at 191! Anyway, I'll figure it out. I have the 10cc band and my first fill was on 6/6/07. I know I need another fill, but I was trying to lose the 21 pounds without getting another one. Well, it will all work out and the 21 pounds will eventually come off. Be blessed!

Well, since my first fill on 6/6/07 I've lost 4 pounds!!!!:clap2::clap2: So I will need to lose 8 more pounds to get back on track. I'm excited about being at my ultimate goal of 170 by the end of next month!!! Be blessed

Is anyone successfully just exercising to DVDs at home?

If I work out at home I feel like I can stop in the middle of exercising. I go to the park and pray it don't rain, if it do that means I will have to get on the dreaded treadmill. -
Today I got my first fill!!! It was a wierd experience...but I'm glad I have it!! I have to stay on liquids for 2 days and puree over the weekend and back to solids on Monday. I'm looking forward to the weight loss!!! Everyone is telling me how small I am, but I wanna lose about 25 more pounds. My original goal was 160, but I'm going to see how I will look at 170. So my goal for this month is 12 pounds!!! Be blessed!!
