Yelp! You're right and that's what I was told, that the Water just flushes the food down. But I am hard headed and I still drink while eating :tongue2:. It will be two years since I got banded on 1/11 and things are fine. I have only had three fills (I think my last one was in July) and I don't think I have found my sweet spot. So I am on liquids until 1/11 to see if I can reach my goal of 170 (yeah right!). Be blessed!

Those are very good questions! Once my pcp thought I had a fatty liver, but after an ultra sound they really couldn't tell. He said the only way was to go inside and do a biopsy. Needless to day I didn't opt to do that, but when I got banded they did a biopsy and my liver was fine (thanks God). So I guess they can't tell unless they are inside.... Be blessed! Sheila

You ALL are so right!!! I constantly get negative vibes from women. My mom and I was just speaking on this yesterday....it is really sad that other women won't celebrate others! But I am going to remain the same confident women that I am. I would rather not have girlfriends, because they are very envious at some time or another and I one that can go to work, dinner, and to a movie alone and be as happy as I can possibly be. And I thank God for that. Ladies you all are beautiful so continue to shine!!!! God bless

Wow I can't believe that 2yrs ago today I was preparing myself to be banded on January 11, 2007. Sooooo much has changed since then and I do mean SOOO much. But I thank God that most of the changes has been good changes. However there were others that were bad and scary. Just to elaborate a little my job was relocated and I had to find another, but thankfully I found one a week later. On a more personal note I have maintained my weight and exercise for almost two years. Although I am not at my goal of 170 I am working really hard on accomplishing that goal by January 11th 2009. In a few hours I will begin a new chapter in my life and I must admit that I am looking for to leaving a lot of people in 2008. I am looking forward to not being too nice, don't get me wrong, but when I say that I look forward to not being too nice, I mean to people that do NOT deserve me or my kindness....can you believe a very special person that I hold close to my heart said that me being too nice was "wierd" I was atonished! I'm like damn shivery is dead indeed! But that person is one of the ones that I plan on leaving in 2008(but I will need strength). Anyway I am getting to windy here so I wish everyone a Happy and FULL New Year(the #9 means fullness and FAT in the Hebrew language(I hope I got that right)) meaning that one will be full of blessings and it also means re-establishment and return. I expect God to re-establish me in 2009 and give me a return on everything that I have lost in the past years!!So Happy New Year and great blessings!!! Be blessed!:thumbup:

Trust me I know what you mean!! But you can do it!! I've been on liquids for a week and one day. I'm just trying to lose a few more to reach my goal by 1/11/09. It is hard in the beginning, but I'm hanging with it. And I actually don't want any solids until Christmas Eve. So far I have lost 7 pounds.... so hang on in there! Be blessed!

I have scheduled my 4th fill, but it is not til December 10th! Be blessed! ***UPDATE!!!!**** MY 4TH FILL WAS CANCELED WITH DR. WEAVER (different Dr. and hospital)!!!!! NOT TO MENTION THAT UT MEDICAL NO LONGER HAVE A WEIGHT LOSS DEPARTMENT ANYMORE!! I HAD TO RESCHEDULE AND MISS DR. WEAVER IS CHARGING A 350.00 TRANSFER FEE!!! SO WHATEVER!! It was after 230am (shouldn't have been eating that late!) and I was eat a corn dog, I think I may have been eating too fast. And I felt something that was maybe a little stuck. And then it happened and I was sooooooooo scared!!! OMG!!! But afterward I decided not to finish my food and I went to bed. I don't ever want that to happen again! Be blessed!

Congrats on being banded!!!! I can only give you some of the instructions that was given to me. I was instructed only to drink Clear liquids for two weeks so the band could heal around my stomach. Unfortunately, I can't answer the stitching question, because I had the glue. As for pain, the only pain I had was gas pain and it was baaad for a while But it WILL pass!!
