One of the surgeons in Dr. Madan's office told me that they stitch the band in place. I read that causes erosion...do anyone know??? Sheila:confused: Be BLESSED!

He said that they fold a small piece of the stomach and stitch it over the band some kind of way. He wasn't referring to the incisions...

Hola I feel the same way...I am waiting on approval from UHC and while I'm waiting I am still undecided. I even thought about callin the whole thing off just today! I just don't want anything to happen to my stomach in the long run. I say will stick with my diet and I break it...so that's the main reason I want the band because I feel like I will be extremely cautious about what I eat. That is sooo great!! We have to obey him and pay attention when he speaks to us. I am glad you listened and obeyed...obedience is better than sacrafice. Girl if it wasn't for God's GRACE I wouldn't be typing this...he is so faithful! I stand on his word and expect all his promises to too come to pass! I called UHC just to check the status of my claim and I was told that it is being reviewed and I should have an anwser this week. I hope so, because I am ready to get going!! I have started on Adipex and I feel a lot better! I am eating very little a day (a little over 600 calories a day). Thank God...just wanted to give you an update. Sheila Be BLESSED!:girl_hug:

Hello everyone, I started on Adipex on 12/2, but before I started Adipex I was watching what I ate. So last night I weighed and "my" scale said 242! I'm thinking that can't be correct...but it is! I guess since I've been a little more discipline lately and exercising along with the Adipex it's starting to show. Oh by the way I am taking only half of the Adipex a day (it's too strong). So I updated my ticker for the first time!!! I hope I keep it up!:clap2: Sheila Be BLESSED!

Hey girl I know exactly how you feel! I wake up every night feeling like what in the world is wrong with me!!! I am sooo HUGE!! On Fridays I can wear jeans to work and I wear dress pants, because I can't fit in any of my JEANS!!!!! So I said today I am gonna start on the Atkins diet (had great results before), but nooooo I just had to mess up before getting started! It will get better girl...we still FINE!!! Okaaay!!! You sound like me!! Even though my claim is pending with United Health Care I was thinking last night that even when it is approved I still have time to decide if I will have the surgery. However the only thing that will change my mind about the surgery is if I get pregnant. Other than that I'm havng it done! So good luck with your decision! Sheila

I know it when I am dieting I will drink mainly water, so I am a strong believer that water is key. I haven't talked with my doctor about Adipex, so I'm going on my own to get them. I need something I look a HOT mess, since I can't fit into any of my clothes and I refuse to buy bigger ones!

I will be starting Adipex again on tomorrow just to jump start my weight loss. My claim is still pending with UHC, so in the mean time I've started cutting back on my calories and carbs. Adipex do make me sick if I do not eat right when taking them, so I will make sure I eat enough of the right foods. Other than that I am just waiting to get approved. Sheila Be BLESSED!

Hello everyone, I am sitting here reading about all the upcoming surgery dates and hoping I will here something this week. I checked my UHC claims online, but I only see where they have processed my visit with UT Medical. I am ready to get rolling...hopefully I will get banded sometime in December. Sheila Be BLESSED!
