Thanks girl!!!

Tonight was the finale of my favorite show The Biggest Loser and I am so happy for Erik! They all did a fabulous job...I love Bob! He is so cute to me, I wish he could move in to whip me into SHAPE. Anyway, I met a lady at church last night who had the lapband surgery on November 21st and she looks good already! After talking to her, I feel better. I am trying to focus on other things right now, my mind need a huge break. For the past weeks I have been studying for school and taking tests and not to mention getting my approval during it all. I need to relax and focus on my SAVIOR'S BIRTHDAY!!! I live because he was born...well that's all I have for now. Be BLESSED! Sheila:)

After a few weeks of waiting I am approved! I was told by Dr. Madan's office that my surgery will be in January. I am excited and nervous (of course) at the same time. There will be a lot for me to think about as January approaches. A change is coming... Be BLESSED!

After reading the post about having regrets (wow!), I think I have a change of mind about wls. I am sitting here thinking that only one time in my life I put forth great effort to lose weight and all the other times I was just greedy and messed up. I know I have paid money for doctor visits and nutritionists, but I don't think I am ready to have surgery just to lose weight. It is hard being heavy and I am sad at times...but I don't think I can put myself through the sugery. My husband wants me to have the surgery and I have one sister who is for it and a few friends, but I'm not sure if they just agree with it because I am/was all excited about it. Now I may change my mind in the morning when I can't fit into some clothes for work, but as of this very moment my mind is changed. I don't want my stomach folded a bit and stitched in any kind of way, other than the way God made it. I am ranting for a moment...man...I will see how I feel this week. I feel bad, because there are so many that would love to have an approval from their insurance company and here I am with one and now I change my mind. I should have really thought it out before I jumped the gun and started the process. I will pray about it.

Thank you both...it's a hard choice. I mean I just knew I had it ALL figured out! Oh well I will get the answer soon.

Congrats on your approval!! I know you are happy! I am happy I got approved now I have to decide what I'm going to do. I mean I want to do it, I really do...but I am scared. :confused: :faint:

Thanks girl....buuutttt, I may not have it. I am just scared point blank. If I do decide on having it I will have to do the pre-opt diet.

I know it...I had a breast reduction some years ago and for some reason that didn't scared me as much. I am thinking about my internal body parts and I guess I don't want anything to happen to them. I don't know...

Thanks you all for the motivation...but I am SCARED!! I don't think will do it now...I was fine when I found out! Last night I was reading the regret thread and boy I tell you, who ever that lady is (Sue something)she has made me ALL confused! I hope that wasn't her intention, but man!

Well I found out Friday that I am approved and more confused than ever. As of right now I have decided not to go through with it. Like I said in my journal I may change my mind, but right now no.

Really...well I just got approved and I think I have changed my mind. Is here name Nicole? If so she is my case manager or something like that. I am super scared now for some reason.

To answer your question...SEEK THE LORD. I have been through some tough things in my life (so far) and nothing surpasses the peace that the Lord can and will give you. I am learning to be still and allow the Lord to order my steps. I am debating now if I should have the surgery and I am approved, that's the bad thing about it. Thanks girl...yeah it will be worth it!! I can imagine all the nice clothes I've always wanted to get from Bebe and couldn't fit them...lol. I think I can fit their tank tops, but since I don't wear my arms out I didn't bother buying it. I know that sounds crazy, but I can't wait to go in there and buy something! Woohoo!!

I am finally approved for the Lap Band!!! Yet still nervous and scared...point blank. I guess it's the whole idea of putting something inside me that do not belong. :clap2: Congrats on your approval:clap2:...it feels good to know it's gonna happen. I went to a surgeon (Dr. Woodman)that charges 500.00 that I had to pay before getting a surgery date. I went right on and found me another surgeon...I didn't understand why I had to pay a fee for a support group and "other" activities when other support groups are free. Girl you sound like me!! That's why didn't try to diet before I went to my appointments! I just found out that I'm approved today, so it's on now! I started my diet last Saturday so far I'm doing good...but I gotta keep it up. Hang in there! Sheila Be BLESSED!
