Hello Everyone, I finally have my surgery date! It's on 1/11...so I'm cool with that, even though school starts back on 1/16. My care coordinator said they don't want me to do anything for a whole week. Well I am going to school on 1/16 regardless! I've read were other bandsters left the hospital the same day and was working out the next day. I know I will be in the hospital for two days at least which is cool, since my std kicks in that day or the next day and I won't have to use any of my vacation time. As for school...it's not up for discussion. I am so glad I chose to go ahead with this...I'm goin in my closet and pull out ALL my cute get-ups right now:heh: . I went to The Vitamin Shoppe and they were out of the zero carb Isopure chocolate, vanilla and strawberry! So I got a box of New Whey 42grams of protein 3.1oz tubes. My nutritionist told me about them and since I am suppose to have 80 grams of protein a day these will be perfect! They are very convenient and no mixing, but I do want the zero carb Isopure.

YES I WILL!!!! I am excited but I will have to start the liquid diet on tomorrow. I messed up already! Mane!! Well I should have did what I was told to throw out or give away all the foods that will tempt me and replace them with all the good food. So I am going to the grocery store now to get my soups and sugar free jello. I have thirteen day until surgery.

My pre-opt appointment is on 1/5...then I will meet Dr. Madan. I met Dr. Tyshanksi(?) twice he was nice also, but Dr. Madan will do the procedure. Well until next time...I'm on my way to the store. Thanks girl...yeap I'll be in for two days, but I met a lady who was banded by the same doctor and she was in for three days. It's cool with me, as long as I don't have to use my vacation time. I will need it for the summer!!

Hello, I am now waiting on my test results, before I can get a surgery date. I need to know when it is so I can get prepared. School starts back up on January 16th and nothing will keep me from school! I called Nicole at Dr. Madan's office to see if I could get an approximate date, but she said I will have to wait a few more days. I wanna have it done on 1/8 or 1/9. I think I will feel good enough to go to school the following week. Anyway...I know I am ready for CHRISTMAS!!! YEA!!! Happy BIRTHDAY MESSIAH!! HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! Sheila Be BLESSED!

Thanks thickchickTEXAS!!! Girl I am super ready! The girl from my doctor's office called me but left my cell in my truck so she told my husband to tell me to call her back. She could have called me on my house phone...anyway I called her back and LEFT her a message, but she didn't call me back. I know I'm not suppose to be anxious, but I need this done before I start school. I will be starting college for the FIRST time and I will not allow anything to stop me. Thanks Sunshine2, I have a feeling they may schedule it around the second week in January. So this may be my last days before starting the two week liquid diet. I may go by some Isopure or this new 3oz protein drink w/ about 42 grams of protein that my nutritionist told me about on Wednesday. I think she said it's called New Wave, but I'm not 100% sure. So I will look for it tonight.

Hello Everyone, Today was the GI test and it wasn't bad at all...but for some reason I woke up singing Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" song. The nurses thought that was funny. Anyway it was aight...the anesthesia was GREAT! I should get a surgery date on Wednesday, so I am excited now and not that nervous for once. I wonder why I have to have the upper GI Test?

Thanks Bexleygal! I am ready now...I go tomorrow for the upper GI test at Methodist University Hospital. Nicole said as soon as those tests come back she will give me a surgery date. How do you feel after the upper GI tes?

I've decided to go ahead and go through with it. I hope doctor Madan will do the surgery...so far all those nervous feelings have subsided. So how do you feel? I'm hoping I will have my surgery at Methodist University Hospital, I DO NOT like the Med! How much have you loss? I have so many questions!
