Hi all. Ive no doubt this has been posted and asked already but.....here i go lol Ive been told that i should aim to have 60 - 70 grams of Protein in a day. But then ive been reading other blogs, and watching vlogs that have the protein intake varying anywhere from 50-110! so just thought id see where everyone is at. thanks guys

Hi all.. well its day 4 of being banded..still a little sore and bloated feeling but not to bad considering. Must say that im looking forward to just being abe to sleep normally instead of on my side lol. weighted myself this am and im down nearly another 7 pounds since before surgery! yay! the shoulder pain is nearly gone and im just wrapping my head around the fact that my day hasnt been balanced around food 0.0 hope all is well with everyone

hi there majj so its 3am and im now one of the banded! I didnt have to check in til 12pm.. i was due to get operated on around 200pmish, but it got pushed back so i didnt get in there till around 4pm and came out of theater and recovery around 630/7pm. The staff were so nice and ive got about 5 or so incisions...Cam out of the surgery with a very sore throat and a fair ammount of pain the shoulder, but nothing too unbareable. I cant remember much once i came out of theater but apparently the nurse told me later that i was worried that i was running late lol. im just real glad that its been done :sad: And im bit thirsty or hungry, actually the idea of food right now is the last thing on me mind. lol umm so yeah, my chest is hurting right now. I first got up around 1230am and that was a bit painful, feel like i was doing everything i slow mo lol so im about to nod off, and hope alls well with you. xxoo nell

Yikes! its here already, hardly slept all night but im ok with that, it was lack of sleep in a good way. So ive been told to check in to the hospital at 12pm and EEeeeee! The lead up to this day seemed to take foreveerrrrr, and now its suddenly here. Anyways just thought i'd share my excitment with everyone and i hope everyone is well

Yikes! its here already, hardly slept all night but im ok with that, it was lack of sleep in a good way. So ive been told to check in to the hospital at 12pm and EEeeeee! I have to stay in hospital for 2 nights tho which im not crazy about but ,oh well The lead up to this day seemed to take foreveerrrrr, and now its suddenly here. Hi5! thats awesome! i got approved by APRA also, was about 2 weeks ago and my surgery is scheduled for 10th march. But of course my sueranuation fund still hasnt processed my claim yet but have assured me it gets priority cause its a compassionate grounds claim..Meanwhile theyve had it for over a week so i'd hate to be on the slower list I then had to call the hospital to tell them that im not going to be able to pay upfront like private hospitals expect, but the ppl there were lovely and called my supperannuation and got reassurance from them that the cheque (oh yeah, thats right, a chequ which will take even longer) will be written out in their name. One of the ladies in the office told me that there was a patient about 2 months earlier who was also approved by APRA, so they went ahead and proceeded with his surgery thinking that the money was going to be there within the next week...and the bugger didnt pay them..its been over a month and he jut hasnt bothered to try and pay them! Anyways i hope all is well with you and look forward to hearing how youre going so far :thumbup:

Yeah im not sleeping, well not sleeping in the good way :biggrin: My doctor wanted me on 10 day of the pre-op diet and ive lost about 4kgs which is about 9 lbs so im happy with that, but i honestly just wanna get this thing started! these 10 days ive jsut felt hungry for, well most of it. I've never drunk so much water in my life! Wowsers! only 12 more sleeps for you! how you feeling about it all?

Yeah, i had a nightmare about not being able to go through with my surgery cause the doctor said my liver was too big...actually in my nightmare he said that it had grown lol so ive been keeping that very close in my mind. wow..only have one more sleep to go! Arrgh!

Hi all! Well i first saw my chose Doctor in January and he told me the earliest he could fit me in was March 10 thats only 3 more sleeps! Very Very nervous, but probably the most excited ive been in a very very long time I had to do 10 days Pre-op diet..which i found really hard cause i have the ability to eat solid foods...i'm just not allowed to, whereas when i get banded theres no way im gonna be able to eat a nice big steak *drools* lol But im feeling a lot stronger now. :smile2:
