hi all im finally home thanks to all the well wishes,well after second day post op i have no gas pain and virtually no other pain at all,just aware that somthing is there lol,and sher i had no probs driving all that distance lucky enough hope your doing well hun:thumbup:

hi all well im officially a bandster yay,i have to say for me personally the pain was quite bad the first day but your dopey anyway im 2days post op and feeling fine no wind in my shoulder and the pain isnt that bad,im still glad i got it done a mother and daughter who we met had it done 18 months ago and look fab one has lost 10 stone and the other 8 they were getting a tummy tuck so it deffo works girls they looked great and both said it has changed there lives i met so many great peep here,i was by myself and all the other peep partners looked after me so i was fine sher is fantastic we got on great the poor thing felt worse than me but she was getting there she has a great daughter her daughter looked after her and was checking on me absolutley wonderful people couldnt have done it without the great support and friendliness,and good luck to karen who i met there she is gonna join the forum so good luck and thanks to all that have wished me well,im getting ready for my big trek home now so i will chat in a couple of days,hope your feeling better sher and say thanks to your lovley daughter:thumbup:

hi all im sitting in hotel and the nerves are kicking in,i could only eat soup cause i feel sick lol, sher is brill too she dosnt seem a bit nervous lucky cow lol,emsey thanks not long for you to now hun and freckles good on ya daughter tell to get on here and start gossiping lol see you all soon dont think i will sleep tonight x:blink:

hi jayne i really feel for you hun,but it's only early days yet hun,try not to think of your weight loss as much,measure yourself you could be losing inches like garry was,remember it was the tortoise that won the race lol,everyone sounds like you at the beginning,all the one ive read about, and just think that will be me and sher soon lol chin up,well guy's im packed and leaving at 5.30am this morning i will try and get on comp in holland,sher meet ya their hun hope ya feeling better chat soon hopefully,thanks for the number garry xxx

for those of you that are interested ive just bought the rosmery conley's magic measure tape you put pernament tags on it that clip on of all your diff body parts and as you lose inches you move the movable tags so you can see how much you have lost,it wasnt fun putting the first tags on but im sure as i lose weight and inches it will be nice to look back on and c the inches i have lost me and my toy eh lol:thumbup:

hi laila i went direct with surgeon chris debruyne his manager is frederik serneels email him on frederik.serneels@ecfs.be they are quite busy so usually get back to you in a couple of days the package is 4175 euros including hotel for 2 for 3 days surgery and taxi's,you stay in hotel campanille the night befor surgery and meet frederik and discuss everything,the following mor have surgery and stay one night in hos then back to hotel for one more night then you get discharged from hotel about 1 and return home, the surgeon visits uk once a month in different locations,you just pay 500 euro 2 weeks befor surgery then pay the rest to them the night before,i paid all mine upfront though,you can have surgery within 6 weeks of contact with them,if you search anyone heard of dr chris debruyne there is a thread 600 pages long of all the people who go to him and you will get all the advice you need,ive read them all thats y im going with him lol:rolleyes2:

how is your weight loss maree,im not going to do a pre op as such as in general i dont cook in fat,im gonna try and cut back but it will be hard as im going on holiday on thur to holland for my holiday then on to belgium for op on the way home lol,so i will just try and be good lol:tt2:

hiya laila most peep's i know go with dr chris debruyne,i paid 3500 for my package including hotel and taxi's so im pleased with that and wls group do a 4800 package with dr mark focquet including 3 year aftercare both are great surgeons:thumbup:

no i didn't have consultation having that night before surgery,he come to belfast for fill once a month and i think he does dublin too not sure yet x

Gary you are an inspiration it's stories like these that make us feel better about getting banded,and twilight well done bet your glad your all done and dusted,it sowund like you wern't it too much pain,the night after in the hotel you were prob going through the emotions of what you have just done,but at least your done cool:thumbup:

im just a world of knowledge sher lol,ive read every page in this forum,you inject yourself for about 5 days just wee needles to stop blood clotting,have you been taking milk thistle tabs ive just started taking them to cleanse my liver and it does need it.Now what ya packing im taking windeeze,calpol 6 plus,gripe water,nurofen melts,loose clothing,slip on shoes,handtowel for hos,washbag,cup a soup,mug and a spoon,tea and coffee and pj's,but in hospital im gonna wear their gown,my computer and the whole series of friends to watch on my rest day in hotel lol:thumbup:

where has everyone gone it's like a ghost page,come on we need all the talk and gossip for extra cougage lol,sher have you sorted your deposit yet hun and have you got ya stuff in your taking:smile2:

im very nervous hun,worried cause im staying in our touring caravan with hubby and my 2 kids,there dropping me off in hotel for the 3 days then im staying another night in caravan to rest befor e we drive home to northern ireland,i have a fear of needles so im very worried and excited at the same time:sad:

hi hun it can take up to 4 or 5 fills for restriction,because as you lose weight u lose weight on the inside too so your band loosens and needs to be tightened dont lose hope you will be fine,you will soon go through what they call bandster hell were you dont lose anything for a couple of months it's just your body going into starvation mode but u will get on track,search the forum for anyone heard of docter chris debruyne there are loads of peep on there

hi i will try and answer some for you,first you will be staying in the hotel campanaile if that's how it spelt,when you get of eurostar u can get another train to vilvoorde which is 10min away or they might send a taxi for you im sure freddy will let you know when he ans you eventually,you arrive at hotel night before op and freddy come to meet you there and discuss op with you,i dont think there is an insurance you can take out,i think you inject yourself for 5 days it's just injection to thin your blood,you sleep in 3 bed wards in hospital,after op you will prob sleep most of the day,next morning they get you up and about,and make you eat somthing,you have a xray to check all is ok then you get sent back to hotel for another night rest,they check on you in hotel then release you.Getting up and about depends on the person,some peep are fine the next day some arn't,they say it feel's like youve done a thousand sit up's lol,i think u should be ok to drive a couple of days later and as for gas it also depends you can have wind pains for up to a month later that's all i know hun:wink2:

you arriving on 26th and leaving on 29th,im getting nervous now im leaving 15th for my holls so have to take my hospital bag with me i hate being organised lol
