Having been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in May 2001, I attempted several times to lose the weight. By summer of 2009, I realized that I still weighed the same as in 2001 at the time of my diagnosis. I had done some preliminary research on LAPBAND surgery, but always set it aside. As I gave it more thought, however, I realized that I would die before my husband, leaving him with our special needs adult son. From the date of the seminar until today, the entire process has gone quite smoothly. I feel it is exactly what I was supposed to do.
