  1. Well I am coming up to my 1 year anniversary ( November 9th) and I am happy to say that I am down 78 lbs pre-op and 68 post-op. I feel better, look better and just feel like a whole new person. I am a bit frustrated though because I have hit a plateau for about 2 months now. I exercise 2-3 times a week with cardio and free weights. I am just running into some issues as well with during the day I am unable to eat anything, not even yogurt but as soon as night hits, about 8 p.m I am able to eat a whole meal and have no issues! I do not know if anyone else has the problem or I am just weird. I asked my doctor and he said it was nothing to be concerned about just sometimes my band is tighter at different times then others? Also, I am horrible about taking my multi-vitamins everyday and getting in a high amount of protein. I have noticed as well that I have been losing a lot of hair and my hair is super thin!! I am not here to complain I AM SUPER THRILLED TO BE DOWN 70 LBS, just some concerns and in seek of advice!! I am about 50 lbs away from being at my goal. We will see maybe in another year I will be closer to goal! Congrats and good luck everyone!
  2. I am glad that someone else feels the same way I use to. Here is my story I was banded 8 months ago and day of surgery I weighed 270 and today I weigh 220. I have only lost 50lbs in 8 months. I was in the same boat you are now, but one thing that got me out of my funk was looking at previous pictures of what I USE to look like and seeing I will never be the person again. Also, if you think about your clothes that you wore at 267 do they fit you now? I am guessing not, or at least a little bit big on you. That is a HUGE accomplishment! It takes some time and everyone is different some lose more quickly then others but regardless of how quick you lose it or not, your LOSING! You just need to step back and realize what was the main purpose to get the surgery and remember the motivation you had to get the surgery and use that as a crutch to get motivated again. I was just like you, didn't exercise, didn't eat right, felt embarrassed because I wasn't losing weight quickly enough, no one really noticed that I lost weight etc. But who cares what other people say or think, if you are LOSING then you should be proud of yourself and that is what is most important..!!:tt2:

    Help!!!

Ok I am having some problems. I was banded 11/9/09 and have only lost 15 lbs. I am doing everything by the book, only eating about 1000 calories, working out for about an hour 3-4 times a week and taking plenty of time to eat ( about 2 hours to eat a meal). What is going on with me and why am I not dropping the lbs. like everyone else!!!!:w00t:
