hi had battled with my weight my whole life,lose weight gain it back.decided to have the lapband to finally be able to control my weight.18.08.08 started on the otifast meal replacement shakes,managed to loose 6kg in 2 weeks before surgery,.  sept 04.08. went to joondalup health campus in perth wa and had my lapband fited by dr kevin dolan(wonderful surgeon)I weighed 109kg.went home next day,fluid diet the weight just fell off me,2weeks post op i was vomiting and couldnt keep food down,so i went to the doctor to be treated for dehydration & found out i was pregnant and had conceived the nite before my lap band.i was horrified.............................................................................. I weighed 99kg 2weeks after my lapband,I ended up having the baby at 34weeks gestation,happy healthy little girl montana,6lb2oz...good size for so early.I was 86kg the day I went into labour and weighed 76kgthe next day.I continued to loose weight and ended up being 61kg 04 sept 09.I unfortunatley ended up sick with a hiatus hernia,bronchitus,sinus infection & a bacterial infection,so dr dolan wanted to remove my lapband but I refused and begged him to try and move and and keep it in.but the band ended up slipping again and six days later II had to have surgery to remove it .I was so dissapointed that I had to have the band removed.It had worked so well for me and now I didnt have it in I was scared Id gain my weight back and be back fatter than ever...My weight crept back on quite quickly,I had surgery on mon feb 2010 to have the band put back in,Im a bit bruised and sore at the moment but am relieved  to have it back in,5days today and I have lost 4kgs,,I was 87kg monday morning.I know I wasnt that big anymore but each day I got on the scales more weight had krept on,,,I am looking forward to getting back to my goal weight which is 71kg.I was 61kp sept last year but was looking a bit annarexic.Im not suposed to be a small girl,I have a large frame...well thats about it for me,Im back on track,lapband in place and looking forward to being a happier,healthy shelley....
