**update** Yesterday I got a sample pack from Celebrate (totally forgot I'd ordered it). Their protien powder wasn't half bad. I just ordered a sample from Chike. We'll see how it goes! Thanks all! -

Thank you for the suggestion! I am allergic to soy. I tried it pre-surgery and scrarched for hours. LOL! I tried it again because I have never had a food allergy (that I knew of)....yep, it was the itchy and scratchy show all over again. -

Yes, it does contain it...but it also contains amino acids to make it useful. I'm not sure why a nutritionist would give this to her patients (cancer, post-bariatrics, and those with waisting syndrome) if it wasn't useful. I'm not pushing it, it's just what I'm using. I have tried whey and I don't care for the bulk. Thank you for the suggestion. -
I am taking a liquid form of Protein called Promod. I was given this stuff after a surgery a year ago. It made sense for me to hunt it down and use it now (on full liquids). It's literally smaller than a shot and it's fruit flavored. 1 oz= 10grams of protein. It's sold on Amazon. http://abbottnutrition.com/products/promod-liquid-protein Just sharing! For those of us who may be struggling to get protein in.

All I can say, with my limited experience, is put one foot in front of the other and get back on track. Call your doctor and figure out why you did it. **waves wand** Go forth and don't do it again.

Now I'm an idiot? STILL trying to figure out HOW that helped? Did saying that change what I did? Did saying that offer a plan for change? Fishy, please have a seat. At this point it's like you're trying to top the last thing you said. NONE of which is conducive to an adult conversation or offering support. What are you going for? Makes me wonder…why are you so angry and why are you fishing for negative responses. Update: I found some support groups in my area. I getting some "help"!

This is just a little back story: There is no family support because they are on the other side of the country, I just relocated to Cali and am building my resources here, my surgery was in another state, the s/o is morbidly obese himself and he doesn't get why I had surgery at all, there are no children. I was the only cooker up until surgery day. So, he is learning to cook for himself. And I can't help but to peek in and see how he's doing. He is learning and so am I. Without making him feel guilty...I just simply asked him to help me out. We used the spoonful as a learning experience. I understand addiction, relapse, etc very well. I'm a substance abuse counselor. While I don't think I am headed for disaster I recognize what COULD have happened. As far is needing help is concerned...NOT once have I said that I didn't need it or welcome it (I still haven't seen any specifics about the TYPE of help needed. I guess there's an assumption that I know where to go. If there's a suggestion...I just ask for a whole one). Not once have I said I am not open to criticism and honesty. My ONLY flag was tone and being condescending. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and tone...I won't cancel Christmas over it...it will just make it difficult for me "hear" what's being said.
-
Thanks all! While I appreciate the input, I would like to caution some of you on your tone. If I am needing "help" please offer a suggestion of who/where. If you can't fathom a fat chick making a fat chick choice lol **shrugs** If you can't relate to a mistep and have no encouragement...please keep it moving. I don't need anyone being condesending (not to be confused with being honest/telling it like it is). I talked to my doctor about my spoonful and he assured me that I would be fine and that ALLOT of people slip (if they want to admit it to others or even themselves). I also understand that there are those that NEVER mistep **round of applause** Anywho, I've been back on track the past couple of days. Again, thank you for the support. In the event I mess up again...I'll be back to confess it.

Thank yall!

I was sleeved Dec 4, so I am 12 days post op. I am supposed to be on full liquids. My S/O's cooking is a huge distraction. He made lasgna and I ate a spoonful. I chewed it to mush....but I still ate it. Now I'm paranoid about my stomach unraveling. **throws head back and cries**

So I got banded...yay:tt2:. Everything went fast. I went to a nurse at the Army hospital. After she asked me to verifiy my name and date of birth she asked me if I wanted gastric or lap-band. It was a little suprising because I was there about my anemia. 4 months later here I am. The process didn't take that long, I just needed a date to coordinate with another health issue. I'm nervous. I don't want to do anything to make me toss Cookies...so i'm still on clear and Protein. Being very patient and careful. I also keep getting mixed messages about what I can eat at this point!!!! GRRRR! What exactly is full liquids....do I need to blend the Soups?! Can I have baby like food....sigh...taking a nap now.:cursing:
