I am 30 years old and a mother of 3 children. I have been 200plus pounds for over 15years. Every diet, fad, or weightloss regimen out there I have tried. I have been successful at several attempts of losing weight, but the most I've ever lost was 50 pounds on diet pills and needless to say I gained it all back. I just turned 30 this year and decided that I wanted to lose this extra person I've been carrying around for so long for good. I never had any health problems until recently, I went to my last physical and had high cholestorol, and blood pressure. I have been on a long journey to get here today, and couldn't be more excited about my new future! I am my children's role model and I want them to live by my examples , so lapband for me is a lifestyle change for my entire family. I am scheduled for surgery on 3-5-10 and haven't wasted any time getting started on my journey. I am already down 15 pounds from my start weight which was 270!!! My entire family is supporting me in this decision and have joined in with exercise and eating right. I am so ready to live my life because I feel like I have been a prisoner trapped inside this body for my whole life! The timing couldn't be more perfect. I am entering a new phase in my life with a graduation and wedding in my near future! Lapband for me means , LIVING AGAIN......
