Triplets02

Like so many people, I have been heavy for most of my life. I remember in high school, my senior prom dress. It was a size 16, and the biggest dress that Marshall Fields had. Now, I look back at that picture, and would LOVE to be able to fit into that dress. I weighted 285 when I got married, 13 years ago. We have 3 beautiful children, and I have finally decided, its time. I want to explore life with them-not sitting on the couch. I want to teach them the importance of taking care of your body, mind & spirit. I want to lead by example, not "do as I say, not as I do." I am looking at turning 40 in a year - and I can't walk down a flight of steps with out my knees hurting-how will I walk down stairs at 60 if I dont fix this?!! I am tired of life passing by, and not enjoying it. I am tired of being tired.Again, like so many people, I have tried practically every diet. sometimes I would succeed, losing weight, to only put it right back on and then some. when i was pregnant with my children-(oh yeah, I have 7 year old triplets), I lost 70 pounds!! I was never as healthy as I was then. no fast food, no SODA, I even delivered at 34 1/2 weeks, new born nursery, no nicu, we were truly blessed!!! But then, life happened with triplets. Whoever says they lose weight keeping after kids, well, not me. I also work full time and always have. so I would come home from work, hit a drive thru-because the babies had bottles or their food, so I would feed myself first before i got home-that would be one last thing to worry about. I gained every ounce back. I was banded on January 25th, 2010. Right now, I am one month into it. So my journey as just begun.....
