Since I was 4 years old, I've been overweight. I was picked on in school for my weight, & I hated every minute of it. I tried every diet I could possibly try, but nothing seemed to work. I even did the 3 month prep that my insurance required & only lost 1 pound! I was happy when I found out that my insurance was going to cover my surgery. I knew I'd never be able to afford it out of pocket.
On February 4, 2010, I had my lapband put in. It's an adjustment, so say the least. I have to constantly remind myself not to lay on my stomach at night & not to rough-house too much with my fiance. I'm really excited about my journey & how much this will change my life. I've still got much more to live through, & I didn't want my weight holding me back.
