Phentermine- good. But tolerance is high... so is addiction and withdrawl effects. Xenical- unless you want orange oil leaking out of butt at all the wrong times i suggest you stay clear. I had to pay 250.00 a month to torture myself! I would let the band works its own magic before trying something else with it.

woody...good point about better resources. But at what cost. I have a book of dead family(mostly children) from the 1890's. Typically you had a bunch of kids but you knew most of them wouldnt make it to adulthood. (kinda like snakes and fish) They were farm hands so you needed alot of them. Being poor you couldnt have a bunch of tin photos , but when they died you had a burial photo taken. ( it is very neat, not gruesome. I have a forensic hystory... so dont beat me up about this book please)

Everyone keeps talking about parents and grandparents. I dont think that it even counts .. it can not compare to raising a child in TODAYS world. A world of two parents working full time, the violence.etc.. I think expectations and abilities to care for children now are very different then 20 yrs ago. I mean shoot. they had no one killing for PS3's and tennis shoes were less then 100.00... lfe 30yrs ago was SOOO different. I thought the topic was about 17 & 20 kids NOW. And Carlene. We may not agree on religion, maybe not alot of things... but after your comment about going to Russia and your hubby volunteering to drop you off... it makes me want to spend a weekend at YOUR house! You sound like you all have a really great time.

My jeans after 6 wks rubbed a litte infection into the front one. I thought it felt a little hot. I squeezed it and pus came out. I put hydrogen peroxide on it for two days and after about three days it was fine. They are now getiing ITCHY> but that is the weather changing and dry skin setting in. If it is super bothersome call the doc. it may just be a little irritation that will go away.

Hmmm... i remember going to church when i was young.... they always talked about not messing with your temple (body) and that we are not to change it bc god made it that way...Something to that effect. Well it always made me laugh bc christians pierce their ears... but everyone had an excuse why that was ok WELL! all of here got banded right.... a HUGE, VOLUNTARY procedure that altered our "temple" GUESS ALL OF US ARE GOING TO HELL RIGHT?? I guess Wheetsin will have a lot of company :)

I agree!! And how well put.. amazing how we naturally like to think that all children grow up to be good... This topic is gonna get EVERYONE fired up... By the way.... just because we all have Fat as a common issue in NO way means that we are ANYTHING else alike. Which is what is making these disucssions so interesting, even all the very religious are VERY differnt in their religious views... they could all get in some VERY VERY interesting religious debates.. THe best i have ever seen was my catholic grandmother and my mormon uncle in law.... it was a mess!! So we dont all agree... if you are happy where you are at... then be happy... just dont force anything on someone else. They need to find their own happy.

Thanks! I am hanging in there. I did the epidurals in the spring. This is something that just likes to pop up once in a while. I am focused about the weight beign long term rather then RIGHT NOW and think it is healthy. I think the back pain is the worse thing i have ever been thru. I know you understand. It is soo frustrating bc i want to walk around, do stuff and just cant. I will be fine. I am young (fairly) and positive ( most of the time) Thanks for the encouragement!!

I have 2 herniated disks in my back and have been out of commision for two weeks. This means one heavy dose of steroids and percocet. I am up 2lbs but that was before my fill on Fri. I am done with the steroids and hope to be BACK IN THE GAME! for the Christmas challenge...the steroids make me feel like a bass trying to get upstream:faint: but It will shed... hopefully. Just call me the little engine that could......:nervous :nervous

Just incase i didnt explain myself... my uncle has 26 children. I was very close to the oldest. I dont even know all their names and they NEVER get to go anywhere. NO ONE can tell me that being part of a huge family like that is great. It may have fun times but they never got to do anything at all... they pretty much lived in "their world" ... that is not thriving to me... But to each his own. I am glad my mother stopped at 3.

My mom says you should only have as many children as you can GRAB at one time. After that it is too tiring. :confused: She says she loves all of us (3) but she still thinks that she had one too many. We laugh alot about which one she could "return" and which child gave her the fit that made her come to that conclusion :Banane19:

I worked in child protective services for awhile. families had "farmed" children out bc they could care for them... only to make more. One mother had 17 children. She was a functioning addict She was also a grandmother. She was 35. Tanf is just a fancy term for welfare. Families still get foodstamps and other services that go with it, and once they have another baby they get exteneded another 3 yrs, and if they live in the projects they pay anywhere from $2.00 a month - 150.00 a month to live. food stamps for 1 adult and 4 children is almost 1100.00 a month. I know even UN BANDED i couldnt fathom eating that much food. It is a game on how to get the money. Too many kids is not good. It is hard on many structures of life. I am not against large families. some people can do it ok, but most people can not pull it off this day and age. Consider me a little saddened and jaded by the "system"

Keep reminding her that your health benefits both of you. Also a spoonful of icecream is STILL better then a bowl. We have to learn to live and work with our issues. I have a DH that eats 5 or more large meals, cant gain for nothin. I have told him time and time again how i must eat. I am having to retrain him in his thinking. He always asks..Do you want some.. and i always joke... are you trying to kill me? That is our little catch phrase for... OF COURSE IDE LOVE SOME.But i cant. and wont :faint: I can no longer be his eating partner :bandit in crime. He supports me but sometimes bringing me food is the only way he knows how. I am trying to show him how I have to change to be healthy. If you can a old dog new tricks i guess with time we will all be able to train our loved ones to give more verbal support then food support. Once your DW realizes you arent leaving and you are getting skinny she will see the benefits. Good Luck!.

Muggle- print what you wrote. Take it with you to your docs. It is hard to articulate when you feel like this but you captured it here. Now the others in your life need to know. Good luck, this IS fixable. I promise.

veggestyle- I have HORRIBLE sinus problems. They said that as long as i wasnt too snotty and that i didnt have a fever it was ok. They also left it up to me. If i wasnt comfortable i just had to let them know. Be good to yourself, hot tea, sinus rinses, all that stuff. Good luck!

I took out a small equity line. I will pay for this for ten yrs but luckily it is only 150.00 month and my mortgatge was so cheap that it really doesnt seem like a huge burden, I paid more monthly on my meds that i am no longer taking so it is STILL in my favor.

I am a transition specialist for Violent offenders reentering society aged 17-21. All my "boys" have been locked up for at least two yrs. I am basically a mother for 20 "thugs" The plus? I work out of my house- i go see them- so i make my own hours.. no office or pantyhose to worry about The minus? I am 12 ft from my refridgerator alone all day. :help: I also Bartend on Fri and Sat. The plus? it is areobic activity for 12 hrs at a time (very busy bar) The minus? I am in a restaurant! I have a bottemless pit of soda and food for 24hrs during the weekend. Thank goodness i am usually too busy to eat! :grouphug: I am also in grad school at night for Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. Whew! that is all i do. :faint:

It might be the shake itself. Maybe you are too sensitive to it. try something else.

I have a port that you can almost see and i have only been banded a month. I can feel it when i lean forward and rollover. I do not have a lot of fat near my ribs (near the port) so figure it has no where to hide. lol I am getting used to the feeling it is not painful anymore. I too could do my own fill. Cant tell you if it is right or not but figure it would help to know you are not alone.
