Carlene i agree that technically teminology is correct that birth control is preventing a birth so it does fit here. I think that people have ideas about people that use it as the only method which is where it gets sticky. I agree about the pill access to. My uncle died teh same way. I wish that all people could have access to a pain free death. I have chronic back pain. I can only image that cancer pain is MUCH WORSE and all the time. How aweful! I think with the Terri thing that they could do it differently. I do think she needed to go, dont get me wrong.. but it needs to be quick and painless. And you shouldnt have to fight for it or leave the living suffering legal consequences for it. after "Terri" my mother called all the kids and we got explicit directions to pull the plug immediately. Mom left me in charge of it. I am the only one that she KNOWS will pull the plug.:bandit I promised to let the others say good bye first. It isnt that I dont love her, we are very close. She knows to pull my plug if necessary. So does the hubby. She had to be clear so everyone knew and knew there roles so sisters wouldnt be mad if i "made" the decision. She is 50, so i dont expect to do it soon, but i know my job if anything bad happened.

I just thought you may have been new in which case a smaller bike IS easier to start with. Esp if you are a smaller woman. I didnt mean to step on your toes...

I think that is a great description to use! You hear about fetuses that ABSORB into twin inside the womb. One baby had two heads, the other head was a clump of hair and sorts, had an eye that winked and parts that moves but no brain. It only survived bc the child was alive It was FEEDING OFF OF THE CHILD> once removed it was no longer anything just a mass of flesh and hair. it looked like a hair ball a cat would cough up. ANYWAY... I think that you are right. As long as it can not sustain itself on its own if brough out then it is a fetus. I knew a woman who was antiabortion. Her baby dies in side of her, she kept it for a year.. She smelled terrible as it rotted and decayed in her.. we finally got the court to intervene. It was disgusting. Her health declined too bc it was fighting the infection of a rotting mass inside of her. She stated she was antiabortion over and over. We got her to the hospital so they could take it out. She lost almost 75lbs during this removal. I am SO GLAD i wasnt in the hospital when it happened. She made alot more sense after it was gone too. :girl_hug: Zealots make no sense to me.

HOV LANES... majior case in dc a pregnant woman tried to get hov lane status saying she had two people in the car.... she got the fine in the court... they said a fetus doesnt count bc it wasnt old enough to breathe on its own without her blood pumping thru it making it part of her.. not a seperate entity.

Ok Carlene. I thought we were staying within the bounds of the USA here But here in the us if the childs life is at risk (such as you posted was in the UK,) the courts can step in with a gaurdian ad lidem ( a children advocate lawyer) to make sure the childs safety is being addressed. Needless to say this is used daily with children that are ill in the us and the parents wont or cant get them proper medical care. Here in the US we can remove the child from the home to do this IF NECESSARY as a last resort. HOWEVER, here in VA a young man 16 with cancer was taken to court with his parents bc he wanted homeopathic cancer treatment and refused traditional chemo... it made alot of news bc the lower courts demanded the chemo...but on appeals they lost it and the child has chosen his own course of treatment.. Now 16 is very different then smaller children.

Are you a new rider? If so why in the world would you want such a large bike with so much power. You are crusin for a brusin... My first was a 400... I do have an XS1100 Yamaha... 1978... but it is a stream train. And if it falls it weighs SO much that i could NEVER pick it up. And i have crashed. More then once in the last 16yrs. Rethink such a huge bike. Remember i am 6ft tall and 240... and i wouldnt want such a cumbersome ride. If you do get it take a lot of riding courses so you can handle it.

I was calm and ready until i was all checked in and they all started poking on me and stuff.. then i got a little nervous. I was amazed by how ready i felt. I guess you have to jump thru so many hoops asead of time that it is refreshing to have the time come. Good luck!! Let us know how you are doing!

Here are mine I have been riding since the age of 16. My husband builds them so he has about 4 right now, but he likes Suzuki. I chose the fzr 600 bc they are easy to ride, about 2000.00 and easy to find parts. They are not too big or too small. They feel great on the highway. I will say that with my port i feel it sometimes rub inside me but just sit up alittle and can get comfortable again.

And NO andrea went to prison for a little bit then was released... after Drowning her children... Alittle different then an abortion that takes 30 minutes ( i am not talking about late term) or holding each of your children while they squirm in the water for 10 each... and for VERY different reasons.

ok i read the last response too. I AGREE with you about the husband being a major part in what happened. He was very "Korresh" if you ask me ( I am not trying to open that pandoras box) I think he was responsible for spousal abuse and maybe many more charges. She is the one that took it upon herself to hold them down in the water. That is why i think that it puts her in another category of cruel and unusual. But you bring up very good and correct inforamation about the stuff that was going on to HER.

You think it was wrong to convict her? I mean for real She could have stopped after the first one. It takes along time to drown someone.. how can you look at your child with their eyes open stuggling and fighting for air. And then do it over and over again. The 7 yo put up a hell of a fight also. I mean he was trying to save himself. I dont care how depressed she was, she could have just killed herself. This was a deiberate and sucessful attempt to kill just them. I think the second trial was a travesty. She had choices, she choice to kill them.. but they had a name and a face and a personality. Very different then abortion. It was a child not a fetus..or unborn whatever you want to call it.

I agree with pam that it should not be the only birthcontrol method. 8 is excessive. and costly. green you are also correct. taking care of the little ones that arent ddoing well in the wold is WAY better then hearing about gagetladys sex life.. Not to mention much more important to help the ones that are here and struggling.....

People SHOULD be responsible with their vehicles too but i bet most of us here have been speeding from time to time... and maybe even caused accidents they have been in... so cast no stones.. no one here is perfect or else eveyone here would be thin. ( including me) And gadget lady if you reread her posts she is in the woods of where ever she is from... and i am from amish country. And yes what she said was nasty. Yes you did. That sentence was very specific. Think about it before you write it. Did you think i would toss my head back and laugh? As i said before.. it was not an easy decision but we as a family were thankful that she had choices.
