OMG Wendy WIlliams who I cannot stand (radio talk show host) announced proudly to all of her listeners today that she is going on a 500 per day calorie diet, and detailed what she would eat. I wanted to smack her.

Wow. Talk about mortifying. I had to stand there in the buck with nothing but these tiny bikini underwear they provide you, and get photographed! Sagging boobies, hanging belly, arms flapping in the wind - that took ALOT! And what did i learn at the end of the day?? I shouldve stayed Fat because i cant afford all this surgery LOLOL Just kidding of course. I got a consultation on a little extra neck fat, sagging deflated boobies, massive arm flab hanging and a WILD unruly stomach that is all sorts of wrinkled. THe great news was...he said there is NO fat in my stomache or arms...that im hollowed out!! Yay. I was hoping it was just skin and not more I needed to lose. It was kind of gratifying :ohmy: My BMI was right where it should be. I was thrilled. It turns out I will not have any surger before my wedding (July). Im so glad he was honest and straightforward and ssaid hell no missy, cutting it too close! WHEW I am so relieved. He said based on my detailed symptoms, it sounded like my bad was too tight. He said prolonged tightness can lead to irritation, which can lead to the black/brown vomiting. He said the cure is to loosen me up, and that should heal all, plus get me eating more and not PBing all the time. So, I went from a near 2.0 fill to a 1.6, which was my fill level in July, before the problems began. I will have to be more careful as to what i eat now, because I dont want my losses to slow down. I am 114 down now. I was banded in May 06, almost at the two year mark. I started at 279 and am currently 165 :ohmy: Thanks for your concern, thank god it wasnt anything serious like a slipped band or a GI bleed!!

Yes it is more like brown actually.. can you explain? how is this related to acid reflux??

Also, I called the doctors office and they said it doesnt sound ER worthy - that I dont sound like I have a slipped band because those are "very symptomatic" and since I have no pain, she thinks it can wait until next week when I have my normal appointment to discuss it with the doctor.

First off, I am goin to see my doctor tomorrow morning, so I know I need medical attention. I just want some advice/stories because I am worried and sick to my stomach (figuratively) over how bad things could be. Three times this week I've woken up choking on ablack, watery, acidic tasting vomit. I thought it was acid reflux or some kind of nasty from my belly, since there are days I dont eat alot, etc. I have reflux sometimes, I take nexium, I'm really tight, I PB Alot. So I'll admit, I dont work the band as properly as I should, but I've really been riding thi weight loss wave and have thought "hey, im doing ok". So I'm worried now because of this black stuff. Could it be that Im just too tight and im irritated? Am I dying? I am so worried. I hope my doctor has answers. Anyone experienced anything like this? By the way, before this week, this black vomit thing has happened to be two or three times before, months apart. I never thought much of it. Can anyone relate??

Hi Everyone I am over a year out of surgery, down 80 pounds and beyond thrilled with the new me. Quick problem, however - every now and then I get a debilitating cramp which I attribute to gas in the mid-left side of my stomach. I can't walk, I keel over. It's happened about six times, exactly in the same place. Any suggestions, similar stories, etc? It's happened to me both today and yesterday, both times after I've eaten, and is not a stuck pain or anything like that. (i know those, lol) Thanks for your input! Jen

I got banded in May, and didnt start losing until OCTOBER. I was massively depressed, had no restriction and pretty m uch ate what I want, until I finally started to get consistent fills and stuff. Since October im down 50. It will happen, just be patient!

I have alot of restriction in the morning, to the point where I can't usually e njoy a meal until 3pm or so. I woke up this morning and tried to have a Protein shake, and boy was it tight .It defiitely was backed up. How small must my opening be to not even let liquid flow down freely? I dont have an overfill because after 3pm Im good as gold to have nice sized meals. I guess my sips were too big or something. It took about 45 minutes for the liquid I drank to go down, and it wasnt even half a cup.. Any comments??
