Not sure why my X-husband is so nice now a days I asked him if he had a policy on me and was trying to knock me off!!!!:mad: I had some baked chicken with salsa and tea :hungry: Man I hate tea dont know how to make it just the right sweetness... Anyways ya'll stay focused I'm still waiting on a call from the Lapband specialist for an appt. Love ya'll

ok i will let him know that whenever we met the first time i called i was told that i would get a call within a week. but when i called yesterday they said a week in a half. so im just waiting trying not to be impaitent the Lapband center that Im suppose to be go too is one of the best in dallas area. all the doctors are on the tops list for lapband and gastric bypass. i check their records and they look great, maybe they are just booked with lot of patients

Thanks so much Mindy, I just thought I would have been made to feel more important over the phone. I dont have an appt yet this doctor yet. He's at UT Southwesten he is the only doctor that I know of that takes Atena in the area. So i feel kind of stuck with the doctor its not a big list of doctors to chose from at all.

MY MOOD AT THE MOMENT IS :help: :phanvan I CALLED TO THE L-BAND DOCTORS OFFICE TODAY TO CHECK ON A OPENING FOR AN NEW-PATIENT APPOINTMENT AND I GOT SENT TO VMAIL. THEN I CALL BACK AND I HAD TO GIVE ALL MY INFORMATION AGAIN TO A DIFFERENT LADY AND NOW I THINK I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK IN A HALF FOR AN APPT. I'M GETTING FRUSTRATED ABOUT THIS TRYING TO STAY ENCOURAGED BUT IT'S GETTING VERY HARD AND THIS IS JUST THE START OF THE JOURNEY. :phanvan I LOVE YOU ALLY, NICHOLAS, DADDY & KARLA HOPEFULLY I WILL BE FEELING BETTER BY THE END OF THE DAY!!!

I've been struggling with that and I have decided not too, it's my body my co-pay fee and my insurance why would they need to know anyways.

not feeling to good about my appt with the lband doctor i might have to wait another week in a half for an appt so irritated about this crap at the moment

ok i understand I started in Feb of 06 with my new doctor and we talked about WLS the whole time of the visit. she prescribed me some Meridian and it didnt work plus she also told me that my insurance didnt cover it BIG LIAR so i stopped trying up until 2 weeks ago something say call your insurance company I did and turns out they cover it as long as I get a referral from my pcp. so all the trying to diet crap is over for me im ready to lay on the table for my band

you guys are the best it's so strange how we can have a similar problem and not know each other!!! But we feel the same emotions, WOW I hope we stay on this thread and encourage each other like we need too. Ms. Nimblebean why are you having to do another diet is it for insurance or the doctors request

I'am a prebander and I'm positive about being banded! I had my first appt with my pcp back in Feb of this year and I went back yesterday and she was a bit hesitant about give me the referral but I have it YiP pEE:omg: But Im scared to death :paranoid I called the Lab band center that was covered under my insurance for an appt and Im waiting on them to get me an appt. He had loved me for the past 12 years from skinny to obese!! and I know our love will go to another level once I get this procedure done. He really dosent want me to do it BUT I gotta do it for ME!!! It's strange how you can tell a person that's not apart of your family you deep dark secrets and they still love you:nervous My family is not supporting me at all so I gotta do this by myself, BUT I'm happy I have you guys to give your comments so that helps!!!:clap2: got a picture of myself but I dont know how to put it on here :phanvan so if someone would give me instructions in simple terms I would appreciate it. I called them yesterday and they gave me a list of who they cover and they said they would need documentation from my pcp that I have tried diet after diet etc i told them that I had done all that with my pcp thats why she gave me the referral to go ahead and do the procedure. So I called all the doctors and Im waiting for them to call me back with an appt. Should I go ahead and get my medical records from my pcp? And should I let her go ahead and do blood work?

As you all know I went to my PCP to discuss the procedure, and she almost bit my head off for not being able to loss weight on my on:mad: I was hurt and deeply offend by her statement, I must admit I was a bit senstive about get on the scale in front of her. I gained 1 pound:phanvan but I felt lower than a bug when she said and I quote "It amazing how people can say that they can lose with weight with this band but you can't do it on your own it's mind over matter." End quote :omg: CLOSE you mouths I know!!!:omg: I was to out done! I look that witch dead in the eye and told her butt OFF!! By the time I was done with her she sent me on my way with HER blessing and the APPROVAL for a specialist!!!!!!!!!! I will be changing PCP as soon as this procedure done!:mad: I have already called the doctor and I'am waiting for them to call me with the appointment. :clap2: But it's cool baby Tia got what she needed and it's all good baby-baby!!
