How is it possible to arrange lap band surgery in Mexico without the US coordinators? I used a coordinator and she was of no benifit to me at all. Now that my daughter wants to go I would rather just work directly with the Dr. Does anyone have any information that would be helpful? Thank you now 160lbs on ticker

I wanted others to be aware of the wonderful fill provider this clinic has to offer others. Please look into this clinic for future fill care .. I highly recommend it. The only problem about responding on their site is ..thats exactly what linkbaiting is. To bring more people into his site is just what he wanted. But, trust me, if he wants to play lame lil games then hmmm.. I'v read the rules and it says more than one can play. :croc:

You can report it to the domain if you want. I'm sure theres something in their policy about fraud but what they consider to be fraud may not be the same as others. It's always a start thought.

Unfortunately yes. As a counselor myself, it's required of me to keep an open mind and accept that all things are possible. Also, having dealt with people that have fears has shown me that fear can make one believe in the most outrages oddities. Some are unconsciously seeking reasons to substantiate their fear and can be completely oblivious to whats real and what isn't. On the point of, "WHO on earth would base their decision of whether or not they would get the lapband surgery done from that", we could certainly hope no one would, but that wouldn't be correct. Believing that there are no people out there that unambiguously view reality different from us is almost on the same line as believing the site in issue is real. This site could very well be one of many combined reasons that may prevent someone from deciding on their WLS. Even if it's only one person out the world's population that may use this ridiculous site as part of reasons against WLS... I'm pleased that we're all here to possibly prevent further doubts about the lapband.

Just a thought but after skimming through all the threads... and out of consideration for Dr. C., is it possible to group/move all inquiries together that the good Dr should view (and hopefully answer)? (ie:to Dr. C., ? for dr. C., etc) :clap2: <----- applauding the great :hail: Dr. C I know there isnt one of us that doesn't greatly appreciate Dr. C for being so kind and contributing to this forum. But as a person that works at her pc all day I'm afraid I still wouldn't have the time we're asking of Dr. C.. Of course, I have never worked a forum before so I don't know if its possible but if it is I think it would be a benefit to not only the Dr. but to us all if this can be done. Sadly, there are always people that will believe things are true even if we see it as ridiculously fake. Sometimes people are looking for negitive reasons to weigh against the positive. If someone sees that site they could aquire fears they don't want to even think of possibly dealing with.

My daughters in Bellevue were without power for over a week and my parents in Marysville without for 5-6 days. Daughter called tonight to tell me power is off again as of 4pm. Brother in south central Washington without for just over a day. I'm in the Wenatchee area which took a toll from last weekend. I live 3000 feet above sea level and the wind was clocked at 107mph but luckly we had 3 1/2 feet of snow holding us down. LOL As of right now the wind is howling and brewing up something wicked I think. On the bright side of things maybe I'll get to see Dorthy and Toto as they fly by this time

LOL, Teresita thank you for making me laugh. When I saw this thread I just about died from the thought of losing my hair and I hope that if it does have to happen to me I can keep a sense of humor like you. I have lower back length layered mutli-colored blonde hair.. needless to say the only visual beauty I possess at this time. Right now I'm just going to stay positive and say its not going to happen to me (but if it does I'll return here for support) Also.. I assuming the hair loss isn't ever evident on the legs, armpit or face.. lol.. yeah I didn't we could be so lucky PS.. and yes , I admit I'm too lazy to change my weight loss below :rolleyes

LOL, I agree with the others and although everyone heals at a different rate... the very worst you may be a lil' sore by the time Christmas arives. My only suggestion is to stop the pain meds after day one. Mine knocked me out for 3 days and if my daughter hadn't been there I would have missed my flight home and slept another 3 days. LOL

I think what saves me from PB's (so far) is that I have forever had a slight case of emetophobia. It's not serious enough to warrent concern but it does make me fear PB's enough to where I go out of my way to avoid it. It's probably why I'm still losing weight. (although I haven't figured out how to move my ticker thingy, lol) BTW..Anyone else out there who was banded by Dr Rodriguez in Acuna? I'd love to here from ya :ranger:

I just got back from flying US Airlines and at size 14 (yes I'll admit a tight 14) but I was miserable the entire flight because I tried keeping myself from crowding my neighors. I had a middle seat so perhaps that made a difference. Aside from that flight I had an additional 90 minute flight on US Ailines "express" (aka TED) and that was horrid but luckily I was sitting with my daughter and we could giggle about it for the fact we were on our way to being banded

LOL, thank you Kim.. you will have to point me in the right direction in order for me to locate the Washington support area I seem to have a difficult time :doh:finding everything If I have to I will go to the coast but I'm on the east side of the state. Your dizziness could be from your body withdrawing from the sugar it was used to before your surgery. If thats the case it will stop within a couple weeks once your body has completed it's sugar detox. :clap2: Congrats on your weight loss.. I know how ya feel and I'm loving it

Oh and PS. Ive had lipo and its not painful at all and the recovery time took the same few days as my lapband. The only difference between the two is that one is for preventing and teaching me from gaining my weight back and the other is purely cosmetic. I don't blame her in the least, I blame her parents for not taking the time to look at other options.

That surgery was preformed for so many wrong reasons. Isn't lipo supposed to be for spot reducing? Guess not. Lipo off 35 pounds.. dang thats what I have left to lose, maybe I should hook up with Dr Sucker too. The part that totally blew me away was something like, "oh baby youre so pretty" from her dad.. YEAH OK dad of the year .. what was she before then and just what did you tell her that she felt she had to have this surgery for you to finally say that to her at least once in her lifetime? Ok, Im going to stop here because theres a million other wrongs with this surgery and its making me frustrated, lol :faint:

Turner24.. keep in mind that the dimensions are for economical reasons and rarely for comfort. But, I suggest you contact the airline and discuss your situation prior to them asking for an additional ticket in front of others. Then you have a seat next to you and no one knows you had to purchase it. If you cant purchase an additional ticket then maybe if they are aware of you situation they can leave that seat to fill last. Theyre many options depending on your airline .. maybe even a cheaper route would be to upgrade to first class. Please do look into it so you can enjoy your holiday without the stress

You couldn't possibly be conceived as a cold person from your letter. If you were a cold person you wouldn't have written at all. (6 days 'til surgery

I have never been able to tolerate chewable or liquid meds of any kind without vomiting. Will I be able to use tablets or capsules at all? My surgery is set for Nov 17th I live 30 miles from the nearest store and I'd like to be prepared some how. Thank you

I'm employed with one of the greatest shows on earth "I'm a ringmaster for ringling bros. and barnum and bailey circus! Yeah, I wouldn't believe me either and no it's not true .. but dang it sounded pretty cool so I thought I'd try it. In reality I own and run a day care center which some do view as the circus and I'm the bag of nuts so maybe I am really a ringmaster of some sort, lol. I received my masters of Ed but had no desire to leave my children with someone else so I decided to become the "someone else" for others I'm also a medic with a private company but have recently cut my hours down and will slowly work out of that job. I've discovered theres only so many hours of a day and I always come up short. OK, *insert psycho smiley here* and that should pretty much sum up "me"

Because of your huge nutritional change (pre-op or post-op) your ph level has most likely made a huge change. What your body was once used to is now facing new challenges to meet and make up for. It's the same as we age or have trama in our lives .. our skin tends to react. You may want to look into balancing your ph level and go from there. 10 days til surgery :clap2:
