I was so tired of feeling the way I did....tired, embarrassed, not wanting to live life to the fulliest!  So I decided it was time to do something!  Here in Alberta we have a bariatric clinic but the wait to get the surgery done is over 3 years.  I felt I just couldn't wait that length of time to have my life back.  My husband and I had just finalized the adoption of our beautiful son and I want to see him grow up and have a family of his own.  Then in late October I got the H1N1 flu and I knew then I needed to take charge of my health.  My husband and I researched clinics and found the most amazing one in Toronto, Ontario.  After contacting them we knew it was the right thing to do!  So we got financing in place and booked our flight and waited for my surgery date, January 18, 2010.  So I started the pre-op diet and lost 13lbs and now I am on the post-op recovery and am down 28lbs.  I am getting my first fill on February 25 and I am so glad my family physician will be doing my fills.  I am excited to see the results start to appear!  However, I am a bit nervous about the fill...  I will keep you posted about my progress!
