Yes, I was banded by the Beverly Hills physicians in December. I use the Covina location for my fills. I really like these surgeons. I had excellent care and no complaints. They are real good about giving you good information and answering all your questions. I would recommend them.:thumbup:

I am so excited. I just tried on smaller clothes in my closet and they are too big! I waited cause I figured it would be a while before they fit, but to my surprise they were way to big! I bagged them up for goodwill and sent them on their way. I am not going back that way ever again. This was very encouraging for me, just when I felt a little discouraged. I just love this band!!!! I just wish I would of known about it years ago. Just wanted to share some excitement today. I love this website everyone is so helpful and encouraging. :frown:

Wow I was so surprised to find out that the 5cc's of fluid I thought were in my band were never there. I just came home from getting my 3rd fill and when I told the Dr. I had 5cc in my 10cc band he checked and when he drew it out there was only 1cc in there.He said the doctor doing the fills for me has been known to miss a lot. No wonder I never felt anything different after my fills. I was beginning to think something was wrong with me, cause I could not feel any resistance after a fill. So this doctor put in 4cc and stressed for me to be very careful and that now I should feel something. He said to come back to see him in 2 weeks and we should be able to adjust a little more and hopefully hit my sweet spot. He said I should feel good about myself, because all the weight I've lost so far was on my own. This does make me feel good and also shows the power of the mind, here I thought it was my fills working, but it was just me! Who knew!:wink2:

Hi! I was on Topamax for 2 1/2 years to help with my Bipolar. What is your use of the drug. It does help to keep you from gaining weight while on other antidepressent drugs which cause weight gain. My only bad side effect was I could not drink anything carbonated or eat gummy candy because it made theses things taste bitter.:thumbup:

Awesome! I am so happy for you. I can totally relate to what you are saying. I share similar experiences. I had just shared my similar thoughts with my husband last weekend. It is so nice to feel normal and eat small portions. Hurray for the band!!!!!:thumbup:

Betsy your reply about just doing it woke me up! You are so right, waiting around for the great motivator just doesn't happen. We have to make it happen ourselves. Thanks for your eye opener. It's so nice how someone else's thoughts or feelings can really help someone else.:smile2:

Sounds like you hit your spot-yea! I can not wait to hit mine. I have had 2 fills since being banded Dec. 18th 2009, and I still have no restriction. I have 5cc in a 10cc band, so maybe my third fill will be the one. It is so hard to be patient. I haven't had a weightloss in 3 weeks.

I am just like you. I just had my second fill and still can eat with no restriction. I am so frustrated. I want to feel that restriction everyone talks about. In the mean time I try to eat smaller portions and try to snack healthy. Hang in there, our time will come.:cursing:

Oh yes! I was so embarrassed, but they assured me this is common. I was kind of a mess when surgery was over, but what can I say, I'm only human lol.:thumbup:
