    Dare I Ask...

Yes I did too and my dreams were so vivid I could smell & taste fresh kettlecorn, chips ahoy cookies & more. In my dream I didn't even know I was banded, just kept shoveling it in like the old days, with much enjoyment and not a smidge of guilt! Someone said it was post-op meds b/c haven't had any since that seemed that real.
  2. Wheeee! Victorias Secret shopping spree...

  3. Sorry Michelle, I don't know how to be notified when someone replies. I was looking for the 14-16's, do you have any left? Frankie is waiting, LOL!
  4. Got first fill on Sat, took only about 10 seconds. I was so worried for nothing! And the scale keeps going down...absolutely unheard of for this time of year!!

  6. Matt, my surg was 11/14. I get hungry too, but find if I add some Isopure flavored, clear whey protein to my water, it keeps me from being hungry between meals. It's low-cal, no fat, 1 carbs. I mix it 3:1, twice a day. Hang in there!
  7. OMG trying on a dress for a party, haven't worn in over 3 yrs... it slipped right over my head like a dream! Doin happy Snoopy dance all day!!

  10. Hi All, Any newbies worried about getting enough Protein that first week on clears? I was, until I made up this delicious "cocktail" that satisfied quotas for Water, protein, flavor, and settled my sensitive tummy all at the same time! Here's the recipe below. You can sip this all day long and not have to worry about meeting your daily protein needs. You will need: 1 bottle Isopure whey Protein Drink, new Green Tea flavor 1 bottle Glaceu Vitamin Water Lemonade flavor, reg or diet. Mint leaves (aka "yerba buena") Lemon slices Plenty of ice cubes 1. Tear several mint leaves at bottom of a tall glass, Mojito-style. (DON'T crush, or you might drink them) 2. Fill glass with ice cubes. Pour equal parts Isopure Green Tea & Vitamin Water Lemonade. 3. Garnish with lemon slices. (Or skip if the acid bothers you) Try making a pitcher to sip and enjoy all thru the day and know you are getting enough protein. The mint leaves are gentle on your stomach, ease gas and have all sorts of healing properties. Just ask any grandma who has some growing wild in her backyard, like mine did. The mint does add an amazing flavor as well. Be careful not to accidentally swallow the actual leaves. I thought to add some real green tea, but was told to stay away from caffeine. Anyone else have a similar creation to help others get thru that first week post-op?
  11. 4th day: I had such an easy time of surgery and post-op, I feel guilty for those who did not. Minimal pain and clear liiquids are not bad at all. No hunger or cravings yet. We'll see...

  12. Hi Cupcake, saw your offer for Gax-X strips but can't figure how to send u my address privately. My date is 11/14!!!

  14. 7 days until I am banded in Beverly Hills on 11/14/11. Nervous but happy & excited!

  15. Hi Kim, I guess "cool" is in the eye of the beholder, what are your interests? I have a variety of things people have called "cool", such as: 3-ft ceramic Frankenstein ("Frankie") from Universal Studios, several boxes of classic rock vinyl LPs, silver Gucci pumps size 35.5 (American 5-1/2 or 6), new Foreman grill in box, never used... shiatsu percussion massager, bunch of geeky computer parts, LCD monitors, laser printer (needs new toner), etc. Haha think I need to go on Craigslist too! Anyway, I'm looking for size 14-16 things that are nice for work and winter, prefer blues, burgundy, grays, no pastels. Smallest I have in my closet are 18-20. Let me know what else you're thinking of trading for...

Anyone With Lap Band In Temecula

Hello, I posted on another support group thread -- I am in Murrieta, LB surgery date is 11/14/11. I saw someone here who said she does a support group, but that was in 2010. Is it still active?
