I live in Russellville, Arkansas . If anyone out there knows a secondary insurance that I can take out to pay the remaining 20% that Medicare doesn't pay Please let me know so I can check into it.. I have to find an insurance that will help because I can't come up with the remainder of the bill and my doctor has to have it before surgery.. If any one has any ideas... PLEASE let me know.. Thank you very much.

Hi , I am on the waiting list ,,,, thank god... for my RnY gastric bypass. Hope I will get an appointment for surgery soon.. I am wanting to have it done because I have been waiting for about 3 months or more... Hope it's soon .. Wish me luck... for a quick appointment for surgery.... thanks everyone.. and good luck to all of you on your journeys....

I just read your reply to me. I have found that secondary insurance. IF you are on Medicare you can check with Medigap and find one to. I didn't know you were having problems paying for your surgery also. Maybe this will help. I hope so.. I am going to have the RYN gastric bypass. I think its a better choice for me because I am so big.. What are you having ? I can't remember if you said or not.. Not a real smart cookie here..lol..... I sure hope you find what you need out there. Just keep looking and you will.. Have you dropped anymore weight.. I haven't .. I have been on a diet .. I lost 18 pounds and now I can't stick to it.. How in the hell am I going to stick to this other if I can't even stick to a diet now.. I am just so discouraged right now... Sorry, don't listen to my ramblings. Hope to hear from you really soon... Thank you very much for the info. I called my medicare office and they set me up with a secondary ins. company so that is all taken care of now...Thank you for taking the time to answer my cry for help..... Thanks again :thumbup: -
My Message on the first one was suppose to say Medicare.. I need to find an insurance that will pay the other 20% of my medicare because my doctor has to have it up front before the surgery. If anyone knows a secondary insurance I can look into please let me know.. Thank you ......

HI, I don't know why but I have lost my will power to diet. I have been on my diet about a month or so and all of a sudden , I have no will power. I want to eat everything in the house. If I can't do it now, how in the world am I going to do it when I have my lap-band® surgery or before my surgery.. If any one has any suggestions please let me know... Thanks everyone....:sad:

Hey girl, How's it going ? Not to good for me. My medicare will only pay 80% of my surgery. I can addord the 55 for the phyc. but I can't afford the 1,100.oo for the rest of the surgery. I put a new blog asking anyone if they might know of a secondary Insurance to pay the other 20% of my surgery in Arkansas. I hope I get lots of answers. Are you still doing ok ? How long have you had your surgery now ? I am so glad for you . I sure hope I can find a 2nd insurance for me. Well I have moaned enough about my troubles. Are you doing everything now that you did before surgery or all you still sore ? If I could ever lost this weight I would have a knee replacement and then go dancing.. I love to dance but I am just to big to do it and my knee is shot ... Here I go complaining again. How many children do you have ? I have 3. Twin boys-32 and a daughter 36. I also have 2 beautiful grandkids . 1boy--1girl... they are 8 now... D--n I am getting old..lol...I will talk to you again soon.

Hi, I live in Russellville, Arkansas and I have medicare Ins. I need another Insurance that will pay what medicare won't for the Lap_band surgery. Does anyone know of any insurance that I can check into for that. I am 5ft 5in. and weight 382 lbs. I hope some one out there can help me. Thanks. -

Hi, I am going to conference by the Dr. in March. I do group in March. I hope after that I will get the appointment for surgery.. I am excited but really scared. I have heard a lot of bad things about after the surgery. Lots of complications. It really worries me but, I want my life back. My weight now is 390 and I hate it because I can't walk much, can't do anything with my grandkids, can't sit in a booth anywhere because I don't fit.. So many things I can't do because of my size and I hate it.. I want to live and see my great grandkids, but with my size it's not going to happen. Please give me any info. you have on lap-banding.. Thank you very much....:sad: -

Hi froggie, I am Sharon. I am almost 53 and have just started the process for the lap-band surgery. I have a lot of things wrong with me. High Blood pressure, Fribo, Hidal Herrnea, R.A., Asthma, C.O.P.D. and I am dibetic. I am worried about the surgery or really the complications, but I am more scared not to have it done. My doctor said if I have it I may get off of a lot of my meds.. That would be so great. Lose weight and get off some meds.. Yahoooo..... I am having trouble finding a physcaligest...for a one time thing for the surgery.. I don't know how to spell so I hope you can sound this stuff out..lol... I live in Russellville , Arkansas . I will be seeing Dr. John W. Baker.. My doctor said he is one of the best... Who is going to do your surgery ? I wish you all the best of luck and hang in there, I am sure everything will be fine. I think everyone has the right to do what they feel is right for them. People have no right to judge anyone. The only way you could understand someone is walking in the shoes they walk in and that's not going to happen.. So, Yes I believe in the right to make your on choice... -

Hi, and thanks . I am excited about the surgery but like I said I am also scared.. I wish I could just have it today and not have the waiting part but there are lots of tests I am sure I will have to do before the surgery. I am going to the siminar that Dr. Baker is doing on the 2nd of March. Not much longer for that one. Then on the 11th of March , I go to group therapy. I don't have any idea what happens next..If you don't mind could you give me an idea for what is next..I hope I can get through all of this stuff pretty fast. I am ready for my surgery now.. Hi, I am glad to hear from you. I don't know anything about payment plans for the surgery. I am getting mine done through Medicare. I am 52 will be 53 in May. I have been on S.S for several years now.. I am like you , I hate sitting on the side lines while my family has so much fun. I can't do anything because I am so fat. I just want to be able to have some fun when my family plays bad mittin or volly ball and other things... I cant even walk a block. I get out of breath and I have R.A. My right knee is shot it has no cartleige , I can't spell..lol... I need knee replacement surgery. I am planning on having it done when I lose weight.. Good luck with your surgery also... :frown: -
