Hi to all some advice needed from anyone who has had problems with thier band (faults/leaks) how did you know something was wrong? i was banded in May and have had 4 fills so far totalling 7.1mls i still dont have great restriction and can still manage a decent sized portion of food can eat everything bread, chicken and even steak. i have lost 2.5 stone but most of that was just after surgery and have really struggled to lose since any advice would be helpful as im now really really getting down and worried something is wrong even though Fred said at my last fill that he could feel the Fluid pushing back and thats why he could only manage to put in .6mls last time and that he felt i should have really good restriction now. Advice needed please Sue -

Hi Karob me too just cant seem to get warm... Think its the bodys way of using the energy to keep organs working in stead of using it to keep us warm -

Hi guys just reading the last few post concerning protien drinks and was wondering when i get to proper food (still on liquids yet) is this something i should be drinking regular or is it just a choice you've made. I find most of them kinda sweet and a bit sickly. -

i'm doing great thanks, imy port area is still a little niggly and the muscle under there pulls sometimes but im sure in a week or so when its had proper time to heal all will be better. I,m struggling to get enough water down as i seem to get bloated really easily but not sure if im drinking to much in one go or just drinking to fast. If you dont mind me asking Where are you having your banded fitted and by which surgeon ? -

i did mean to say the nurse said it could disolve them to quickly lol The nurse also said i didnt need to change my dressings again unless there was any weeping or if the dressings got grubby. Had a bad night Friday with trapped wind on the left side of my stomach was in real agony but windeze and a couple of paracetamol did the trick. Having trouble drinking as much water as i should be as i get bloated easily, drinking tea isnt as bad but worried about not drinking enough. -

Had a check up with GP who was impressed with Dr Chris' report asked for details of package and costs to pass on info to other paitents looking into it. Nurse changed dressing and checked wounds who was also impressed with how neat the wounds looked. A question for any of the girls banded this week The pink sterile solution given to us in hospital, what did they tell us to use it on ? I thought it was to clean the wounds when changing dressings but nurse told me it couldnt be as this could desolve the stiches.
