    Dallas Airport question for texans

Hi Jenna, I live right next to Highland Village in Flower Mound. DFW Airport is MUCH closer. The north airport exit will take you right out to 2499. You will go by Grapevine Mills Mall. 2499 takes you right into Highland Village. It actually dead ends into Highland Village. PM me if you need any more directions or help.

    October 2006 Bandsters!

Hey Jimboss, how ya doin? I got my second fill yesterday. I got 1.0 more so I am not at 2.4cc in my 4.0cc band. I am thrilled he gave me a good amount. Still on liquids so I don't know what it will be like eating.

Patty, What about trying to find a doc that is "in" network? Maybe there is a really good one that you could use. Just a thought. I wish you the best.

Cindy, I don't think I will get to work from the closer location. But that is ok. My hours are flexible so I will just try and come in early to beat the bulk of traffic. TGIF

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

You do not have to be extremely overweight to get the lap-band. If you are a volume eater, the band will work wonders for you. Simply because you will not be able to eat volumes. If you have insurance, they go by your BMI (body mass index) in determining whether or not you are "overweight enough" for them to pay. Check with your insurance company and see. Also if you have what they call comorbidities or something like that, it helps. They are like high blood pressure, diabeties, etc. This forum is a great place to learn a lot of info. Just start asking away as well as reading, reading, reading. Good luck to you.

Mandy, sorry to hear about the delay. At least it is just about a week. Hang in there. It will be here and over before you know it. I wish you the best.

The dough doesn't kick in until the first week of Feb. But I am ok with that since I won't actually start doing the job for a couple of months. That way if my boss drags her butt in getting my replacement, at least I will get the big bucks. I am fixing to leave to go get my second fill. WooHoo. I am soooo ready for it. Beanie, you be careful on that thing. But music will do it. Kat, bringing in the wood is exercise, right?! lol Take care everyone.

Just curious, You eat solid food the day of a fill? I was informed to not eat for 4 hours before and not for a couple of days after a fill. It is funny how different each doc is.

Patty - Hang in there. You have come so far. You will get there!! Mandy - I hope Harley chills out on the marking. I know that is frustrating. Your jeans are too cool!! Beanie - I am glad you can ride the eliptical that long. I don't think I could. I may wind up buying me one with the new raise. WooHoo. I hope everyone is having a great day.

Audree, you got in the whole 15 ounces of soup because it goes right through the band to the larger part of your stomach. Until you eat solid foods, it will just go on through. You are doing great!!!!!

    Save your pets!!!

I just ordered two of these for my little rug rats. Thanks Jenna. I am glad your babies are ok.

I had a lot of different soups that I put in the blender to get the chunks out. It doesn't always make them look very pretty, but they taste great and go down fine. In the beginning, you have a lot of swelling and it feels like restriction. It will go down over the next week or so. You will then be in what is called "bandsters hell". You will be starving on the liquids. Just hang in there. It really does get better. Take care.

I too have no booty padding. That is probably why my butt bones hurt. It is getting better though. I would like to increase my time from 30 minutes, but until my butt gets used to it, I can't. I hope everyone is having a great day!!!!!!!!!

    October 2006 Bandsters!

Susan and Audree, I am glad you two are doing so well. Remember this is a time of healing. Eating real food (as someone suggested) is really not a smart thing to do. Just because you don't feel pain doesn't mean it won't hurt your healing process. You guys are too smart to do that, I know. But it does get tempting when you get soooooo hungry. As said before, keep your eye on the prize. You guys are doing awesome. Welcome to bandland. lol

Hello everyone, Miss Bike Butt here has been quite busy. Yes, I still have the bike butt, but it is getting a little better each day (I think). I have been offered another position at work. Pricing Analyst. I originally turned it down because the pay wasn't enough and I have a fast track plan for school. To make a long story short, I had a meeting with the Gen V.P. and they are going to pay me a lot more. So I am going to slow down on school a bit (only take 2 classes at a time). I have been in a hurry to try and get to some decent money. Now I can slow down and breathe. I will also be able to focus on exercise and eating too! I go for my second fill on Thursday. I am READY!!!!!! I hope to have more time in the next couple of days. I am having withdrawals from not being able to read the posts. lol
