    Everything comes back up

Mindy, I haven't tried it yet, but I was advised to mash the eggs with a fork. It will make it like a bunch of small pieces. It might go down easier that way. I am going to try it, I just haven't yet. When are you getting banded? I remember chatting with you before. You were saving money to get it done. I went to Dr. Rodriguez in Acuna. It was wonderful.

Eileen ~ Boo back at ya! Isn't Beanie awesome. That is so cool that you guys got to "do lunch" when you live on different states. How cool is that?!

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Do you like the Crystal Light little packets? I don't like some of them, but the lemonade one is pretty good. It helps break up the boringness of water.

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

I would get a bean burrito from Taco Bell and eat the insides (not the tortilla). I can't do the tortilla. It gets stuck. Sometimes I can have a few bites of it, but it just isn't worth it. I just use a spoon and eat the middle stuff. It is cheap too. Less than a buck.

Susan, something warm might feel good too. Tea or coffee or something like that. Take care of yourself. I know it sucks.

    Getting Ready for Spring Bootcamp

Ok gals, I committed but haven't been posting. I have done very well on my exercise and water and all. I joined a gym last week and went three times last week and will go at least 4 this week. My goal is 5 times. I ride the bike and walk on the treadmill. I have been riding my bike at home so I am able to ride for an hour. When I have time I want to ride for an hour and walk on the treadmill for an hour. I don't always have this kind of time though. It sure makes me sleep good. lol I have really enjoyed reading this thread and promise to contribute more. You guys are awesome!!!!!

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

I am sorry to hear that Susan. You probably didn't chew it well enough if it came back up in bites (kind of). I am having the hardest time with chewing my food well enough. I also keep Slim Fast Low Carb handy for times that I don't want to fix something in the a.m. Which is most often actually. I am usually running late in the mornings. Take care of yourself.

Silry, My advice is get the loan however you can. Of course the credit card plan your husband has is probably the best. I was a self pay myself. It is worth every dime, without a doubt. I am amazed at how much money I am saving since I have been banded. I don't stop at a fast food place and grab something like I did almost every day. When we go out to eat, I eat from every one elses dinners or simply split one with someone. Sometimes I get something off the kids menu if there is something there that I want or is health enough. This band is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am so happy with it. BTW, I am no longer obese. I am now considered overweight. WooHoo!!!!!!!

    October 2006 Bandsters!

I totally agree with that. It seems like a lot for a first fill. But if they did it under flouro, it may just be a problem with chewing well. I have a major problem with chewing well enough. I have to REALLY work on that! Good luck to you heritagejenny!!!!!

    Everything comes back up

I can only speculate, but I bet you aren't chewing well enough. It is the hardest part for me. Of course I chew, but not until it is all mush. Also when it comes back up, stay on liquids for a couple of meals to give the stoma time to heal. It gets irritated when the food comes back up. If you still have difficulty keeping food down, you might get a slight unfill and see if that helps. Good luck to you!

    Vitamins

I like the Viactive chocolate multi-vitamin. They are my treat for the day.
  14. gonnabethin, You are not going to feel any restriction if you stay on liquids. Not matter how tight the band is, the liquids will always just go on through the band. It isn't designed that way. It is designed to hold food, solid food, in the upper pouch to make you not hungry for a longer period of time. It is also important not to drink anything for at least an hour after you eat the solid food. It keeps you from washing it on through and you will get hungry a lot sooner if you do it. Good luck to you. I hope you make it to the size 4's.

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

Hey Susan, I started exercising this month. I have a stationary bike that I have been riding. I also joined my local gym this past week. I went 3 times this past week and plan on going more than that normally. I am able to ride the bike for an hour now, so I am sure that is going to help with my weightloss. I had a hard time getting started, but now I am fine with it. I enjoy it.

Mini, I was very happy with Dr. Rodriguez. I have an Inamed band. The small one. 9.75cm. I don't know anything about the Johnson and Johnson band.

    Insurance and Diet Clinics

If you can choke the money, I would go ahead and do it. It will help jump start your weightloss and make you have less to go to get to goal with the band. But then, I am not patient either. Good luck to you! It was great to talk to you. Take care.

    Lower BMI Bandsters!

Hi Mindy, I am not Audree, but I had my surgery in Mexico on a Thursday, came back home on Saturday and went to work on Monday. I was a bit tired, but was fine. I sit at a desk, so it wasn't a problem. I would suggest not going to lunch with the others during your liquids time. It was hard for me to watch others eat when I am only drinking. As far as not telling anyone else. You have my vote. I told people, and wish now that I hadn't. I am doing very well, but I honestly get tired of repeating myself to people that just don't understand what I am going through. "Should you eat that?" "How much weight have you lost now?" etc..... I know they mean well, but it gets old. I wish you the best. I know you "only" have 50 pounds or so, but you still suffer like the rest of us. Overweight is overweight. Even if you are a lower BMI person. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing. We really do care.

    6 Freaking Months!??!

I would not have wanted to wait 6 months. I will have most of my weight off in that length of time. I am not patient. I want it off and this band is going to help me do just that. And keep it off. I wish you the best, Margo.

    Medifast?

If you are ok with liquids only for a month or whatever, then the Medifast should do it. And yes, it will probably be faster.
  25. ~Jules~

    Medifast?

Have you tried something like NutriSystem? You can get a month or two of the food and should lose 20 pounds. I can get it off, I just can't keep it off. Good luck to you!!
