I bought one the day after Thanksgiving at Kohl's for 39 bucks. I like its size. I use it more than I did before with the regular size blender because it seems like less of a hassle now. I haven't owned it long enough to tell you about its lifespan at my house. Even at 39 bucks, I think it is a bit pricey. But so far, I like it.

Good Morning Rene, That is wonderful. It is nice to have support. Where are you traveling from? I live near Dallas. When is your surgery?

Merry Christmas to you all!!!!!!!! I am up for a challenge. I am going on a cruise during Spring Break. I want to get as much off as possible by then. I know it isn't that far away, but I am hoping to be at 190 or 195 by then. Even if I get to 199 I would be happy.

Yep Cindy, I will be there. :-)

Absolutely!!!!!

Hi everyone. I just got caught up on reading. I have been catching up on my shopping and errands the past couple of days. I think I am going through withdrawals from reading the posts. I am pretty much done with shopping, but I have wrapped nothing. Yikes. I have to get it done today for sure because I have a Christmas on Sunday and another one on Monday. I have to cook a few things for the one on Monday. I am fixing sweet potatoes. At least I can bake them on Sunday and prepare them on Monday morning. I tend to miss sleep during this time of year. Go figure. My sister and I were going to serve dinner at a shelter sometime on Monday, but I don't know if she got the info of where and when. We have not done it before and thought we should. I will try to quit lurking and participate. lol I really enjoy reading your posts. If I don't find time to get back here before, I hope you ALL have a great holiday!!!!!!! You guys are great.

That is so funny to read. I know someone that does that. She is VERY slim. When she is done, she doesn't want to keep eating a bite here and there, so she makes it nasty. lol

$1.99 a pair........ No wonder you bought 10 pair. :-)

I got the hiccups a lot in the beginning, but I don't think everyone does. I didn't have any problems so I really can't help you with what to expect. Is there something in particular that you are wondering about? Each day does get better, I promise. -
I ate a lot of tuna salad made with a lot of Miracle Whip Lite. Also sugar free/fat free pudding made with skim milk. I ate them both almost daily.
-
I had tuna salad ALOT during the mushies stage. It was the first "bite" that I had of real food. It was wonderful. I did use a lot of Lite Miracle Whip though.

This looks like a good place to settle in...

Welcome Amy. I am a fellow Texan. I live in Flower Mound. It is just north of Dallas/Ft Worth. I have been banded for almost 2 months now and couldn't be happier. Good luck to you!!!!!!! -
I am having a hard time throwing out food as well. It just seems like such a waste. But I guess it is better to be waste instead of waist. lol

2:00 is fine Beanie. I can't wait to meet you guys. Betty, you joining us?

BJean, I try to wait an hour. I have a hard time sipping anything. I want to DRINK, not sip. I am only a couple months out from surgery, so still kind of new at it but I am going to try to stick to the one hour and see if I can not "wash" down all my food. I too was told two hours. Actually they said one and a half to two. Whatever. If I am going to get in the fluids that I need, one hour is going to have to work for me. The swallowing air for me was worse when I was right out of surgery. I still do it, but it isn't as bad. Good luck to you!!!
-
Congrats Cindy. I am so happy for you!!!!
-
I am with HeatherGurl, Just don't do it!!!!
-
BJean, I bet it is happening because you are getting air in when you swallow. I say this because that is what happens to me a lot. Observe when it happens again and see if you think that might be it.

Great idea, Beanie!!!

Hello October Bandsters, I am having a hard time chewing my food to a pulp. I have had one fill. 1.4cc in a 4cc band. I do have restriction and could probably stand to have more, but I don't chew well enough to get another fill. Why is that so hard for me to learn? Baby bites and Chew!!!!!!!! I am doing well with no drinking while eating, so I guess I have one step down, huh?! Thank you guys for the support. Reading these posts helps me so much.

I have heard of scar tissue growing over the port. If it is hard enough, it can break the needle.
-
Are you drinking while eating? If so, stop. You shouldn't drink anything for at least an hour after you eat your meal. It will keep the food in your upper stomach longer and you will feel full longer. This is hard for me, but it is important for us to learn.

Beanie and Cindy, I am in. I am not a coffee drinker, but iced tea would be great. I would love to meet you guys. Julie

I have not heard of any of these. I like Nectar that mixes with water, and Slim Fast Low Carb for when I don't want to mix anything or don't have time to before I leave. I like them both.

I don't know yet, but he will be doing my next fill. I know someone that went to him a couple of years ago and she liked him.
