losingjusme, I am so proud of you. You are doing such a wonderful job with the band. And I agree, whoever said that WLS was the easy way out sure wasn't talking about the band. It is the safest way of the WLS, but certainly not easy. I couldn't be happier for you. You are such an inspiration!!!!!!!!!

Ok Audree, Where are you. I rode my bike for 30 minutes today. Woohoo. I know you only have a couple more days. I am so excited for you!!!!

Way to go Shirley!!!!!!!!! Great job. Well, I rode my bike today for 30 minutes. I did it last week twice for 20 minutes and was ok, so I thought I'd go a bit longer. I will be doing this at least 3 times a week now. I WILL BE DOING IT 3 TIMES A WEEK NOW. <this is for me) lol

I work in Purchasing at a beer distributor. I buy beer for a living. I am going to school as well to become a teacher. I start working on my master's degree this month. I hope to be done in 1 to 1.5 yrs and start teaching. It will depend on what classes are offered this summer. I promised Beanie I would chat more and not just read. I am a lurker. lol I made an appt. for my second fill. It is on January 11. I am looking forward to it. I am going on a cruise during Spring Break so I want to get below 200 if I possibly can. I should be able to do it because it is 2.5 months from now. Take care everyone.

Not much time here either. The only time I am ever busy at work is the beginning of the month (for about a week). I just wanted to say that I had a BLAST visiting with Cindy and Beanie. We left there at 5:45!!! We got there at 2. lol I had no idea we had been there that long. I will do my best to make it to the next one. I only know one other bandster, so it was really cool meeting these two gals.

Dianne, You look wonderful.

I take capsules everyday. So far I have not had any problems. I have only had one fill though. It may change as my restriction changes.

I am sorry to her that Elaine. Take care. Maybe next time you can make it.

HELP-I feel so desperate right now
~Jules~ replied to BabyGotBack's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Audree, Think of the dancing as exercise. This time you are going through is called Bandster Hell. You are very likely to feel this way for a few weeks after surgery as well. Just hang in there. It really does get better. I got through it because I could see the weight falling off. You will be able to go with you mother and daughters soon. Just not now. It is torture to sit there and watch others eat. When I am on liquids, I don't sit at the table with my family. I just can't do it. Good luck to you Audree. I know you can do it. -
I am so happy for you. Way to hang in there!!!!

Just keep walking. I was told to walk about 5 minutes every hour. It helped so much.
-
Hi Elaine, I am looking forward to meeting you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

The average cost is about $15,000. Many of the bandsters have gone to Mexico because of the prices. It is about $7 to $12,000 over there. I went there myself. It was great. No problems at all. I would do it again if I had to. I am glad your insurance will pay though. That is much better than being out of pocket.

Ok Audree, I did it. I rode the bike again for 20 minutes. Woo Hoo. That is two days in a row. lol
-
Ok Audree, We will keep each other in check. I rode my exercise bike yesterday for 20 minutes. I will do it again today!! So now I have to do it since I told you I would. After you have your surgery, be sure to take it easy on the exercise. Just walk for a while. Then you can do more later.

Beanie, I would love to buy an eliptical thingee. It just isn't in the budget right now. Maybe one will show up on my doorstep. Ok, maybe not.
-
I am sooooo happy with my band. Of course it has only been a couple of months, but I know I couldn't have done it without it. good luck to you!@
-
Oh MY. I am so glad you guys were home. I love our babies. Thanks for the info.
-
I would starve if I had to use chopsticks. lol
-
Those are great goals Audree. You can do it. Especially since you will be working out. I am excited for you. Only one week to go. Woo Hoo.

I would get rid of the junk at home. That helps. On the stuff at work, you have to use willpower. Yea, I know that sucks. But what else can you do? I miss the junk stuff, but I keep thinking, "I had rather it go on their hips than mine." I want to lose weight before our cruise in March. So I have a goal. That might help you. Come up with a goal to shoot for. Good luck!!

Beanie, You are hilarious!!!!!!! -
Tom, You are doing great on your weight loss. You might have had a plateau or two, but all in all you are doing awesome. Do you have any pics of your pups? I love animals.
-
Kat, Don't pay your niece any attention. I love getting pics for Christmas.

I didn't look when I got my fill. I just kept my eyes closed and it was over before I knew it.
