Thank you for the reply. I was telling my husband about everyone's weight loss pre-op and he wanted to know why I couldn't loss the weight myself if I just continued on a liquid diet. I didn't have a good answer, just weak willed I guess. If I get the band I will still be weak willed and that scares me.

I am so happy to hear your Dr. took you off some meds already. This is what I wish for so much and to be able to walk without my lower legs hurting so much that I have to stop after 400 ft!

I have had only 3 fills. After the first fill they stated abot 1/2 a cc "was lost", but not to worry about it. The last fill kept pretty much all the liqiud. I am concerned though...Why does it take these nurses a couple of sticks to find the port. I can feel it so easily and my tummy is not that big. Plus they see the port on the screen. I don't appreciate the doublesticking, because I am worried about puncturing the tubing, besides the discomfort of course...

Are most of you bandsters experiencing this or do they hit your port on the first stick??!!

How has your experience been on a whole with Dr. Neal and staff? I think I will be seeing him when I am approved for my band.

They are pre-mixed protien drinks 3-3.5 ounces each.

You can buy them in a case @ costco or singles @ health supply stores or online.

They are portable & you can pinch your nose and swallow them in 60 seconds.

They are the consitency of un set Jello but are very strong in flovor like cough Syrup.< /p>

You can buy then in incriments of 24 or 50 grams of protien each.

That were the best thing I brought with me. When you travel the last thing you want to concern yourself with is counting grams...

Trust me on this one, get some!

How does one air travel with liquid Protein Drinks? When I tried to take an 8 oz can of apple juice in my carry bag it was taken from me.

Hi there. I am also new to this site. I am considering Dr. Neal for my surgery when and if I can get final insurance approval.

It is looking good right now. I attended one of his seminars in Silverdale recently and really liked him and his staff.

Could you tell me more about your experience and how you are doing?

How are you doing today? I was just accepted by my insurance to start the process for banding. I think I want Dr. Neal to do my surgery when I complete all the steps required. Can you tell me anything about your journey?
