I personally know of a 33 year old healthy female 70 lbs overweight who went to that very popular lap band place with all the billboards. Ana had her surgury on february 4, 2010. She went to her post op appointment two days later and had lost 6 pounds but she had sympoms of phunmonia so she was given antibiotics. It took three days for her to have trouble breathing and was rushed to the hospital. She was diagnosed with a blood infection from the surgury. She was still talking and texting her friends on Wednesday about her status. That night she had 8 cardiac arrests and had multi organ failure. Ana passed away on Valentines day. Everyone is still trying to understand what went wrong.
