Oh my goodness, I've just read your message from the 5th May. I'm so sorry. You seemed to be made for each other. What a real shame that is.

I'm going to have my 2nd fill tomorrow night at 8.30pm. I can eat just about anything now, and have been doing so this week, for some reason.

This fill will take me up to 5ml, as he put 2.5ml in last time (he tried for 3ml but couldn't do it). Was your fill painful? Mine was agony as he was pushing the port in with both thumbs trying to find which was the port and which was scar tissue.......tell me all! In the end I had to have it done standing up! When he stuck the needle in it lifted me off the floor with the pain!

I look forward to all these fills ending! They reckon it will be 4-6 fills before the sweet spot. Have you any restriction?

Speak soon, I hope things work out for you soon.

Hi Sue, well put 3lbs on after having to swop a hol from Vegas to Devon then hand a bombshell. Ray has left to be with his wife, they think her cancer is back and it could be terminal so he wants to do the right thing. He wouldn't have left if she hadn't been ill. So I lost the 3lbs then 3lbs more - so this was the answer to a lap band! Anyway trying to get myself together but it is difficult at moment, hopefully the weight will come off and I can have a fresh start. Having my 2nd fill on 13th fingers crossed I am nearer to that sweet spot.

How are you doing, take care, Susan x

    Hi Sue

Don't worry I think we are all in the same boat, lost 10lbs and was not eating good things over Easter, haven't been on the scales since. Going to Vegas on 19th so will weigh myself just before I go. Had my first fill today, not bad I was really scared, little sting and that is it. Just had some soup and I am OK, we shall see, I have booked another fill in 4 weeks, I want to get to that so called "sweet spot". It takes time, you didn't put the weight on overnight did you! I am as restless as you to lose this weight and get to what we want to be, it will happen. If you want to send me an email rather than keep posting on here it is platt_susan@yahoo.co.uk I don't go on the site as much to be truthfull. You take care and keep in touch, Susan x

  8. Hi Kerry,

Just wondering how your weightloss is going? Mine stopped about a week ago! I've upped my calories to 8-900 per day and it's still not moving. It's just not logical is it?

I'm able to eat everything now and have never pb'd.....have you? I am really careful though.

I'm having my fill on the 24th but I can't see that helping as I'm not overeating!

    Speak soon,

    love,

    Baffled of Lancing!!

Hi Susan, how are you doing? I haven't lost any more weight in the past week and I'm really peed off about it. I'm having about 8-900 calories now so logically I SHOULD be losing it shouldn't I?

I should just not weigh myself really but I always do!

    What's happening with your weight?

I lost 12lbs in the first 10 days, then it took 5 more days to lose another pound, then nothing! I don't think anything will change when I have my fill on the 24th as I'm not overeating at all. I can eat anything now, including bread, which is great! I'm really careful though as I'm not all that hungry.

    Speak soon, Sue x

    Hi Sue

Feeling lots better know I can feel my port too. I pulled out my own stitch didn't hurt one bit, and then proceeded, last night to pull out 2 of the others. I know they are supposed to disappear but mine weren't again didn't feel a thing. I lost 6lbs first week will weight myself this weekend, I know it will slow down as I go along. I have a feeling I could eat most things but haven't pushed as I don't want to lose my band. All is good and Ray has recovered from his trip and supporting me as best he can. Feeling hungry now though and it is still a battle with my head. I have a fill on 8th April, will let you know how it is. Try some dutch crispbake with either low fat cheese or I am having Brussels pate - yummy. Susan x

Hi Susan, I'm still on liquids. I had a yoghurt and some soup today.....though I think that's more "smooth" than "liquid"!! Went down well though!

I'm going to see the nurse to have my stitch out on Weds. Went to my GP on Friday and he was highly unimpressed about the whole thing and said, "well, what does he want me to do then?" I said that I thought he meant look at my wounds so he grudgingly did that. Wish I hadn't bothered!

How's work going? I went back today and it was OK but I need to be careful carrying my bags. Some people I go to live on the 5th floor with no lift so I think I need to reschedule them!!

I'm not sure if I'm OK to have those lovely dutch crispbakes you had in hospital yet?......they looked lovely. I've lost 1st 2lbs now. That's 9lbs after the op. My fill lady said that the main thing is not to put any on before the first fill.

Speak soon, all the best to Ray,

    Sue x

Hi Sue, how are you doing. I am eating well, too well, not too many calories though, it is right what they say you have to work with this. Pulled my stitch out yesterday no problem, I have a new doctor and not visited him yet and didn't want to start off bad with him. How are you doing? What are you eating?

    Take care, Susan

  13. Hi Kerry,

Really glad you've lost virtually a stone. You must be really proud of yourself. I think Dr DeBruyne said that it was 5-7 days liquids for you then "soft lumps" (i.e. mashed potato etc). That's what Sharon said anyway....and she hadn't had anaesthetic (mmmmm not sure about that!).

She said that he told me 10 days liquids and then soft lumps, so I'm on the lumps tomorrow!

Speak soon, back to work for us both tomorrow I think? Good luck.

    love Sue xx

  14. Hi Susan, can you feel your port? Mine feels really prominant...I think I'm worrying too much. I've only had bovril, water and a half cup of coffee so far. Does that Weightwatchers soup count as clear liquid, if so, I'll get some??

I've booked my fill for April 24th, that'll be 6 weeks.

I was the same weight as before the op when I got home, 15st 12lbs. I am now 15st 9lbs. Hopefully something should happpen when the swelling goes down. I'm still huge!

Do you feel sick when you eat?

Take care of yourself. You seem to be getting along really well.

    love

    Sue x

    Hi Sue

Yep in work, not feeling too bad at all, port site is tender but that is to be expected though. Trying not to eat my weight watchers tomato soup too quick, but I think my restrictions are getting less now things aren't as swollen. I have some cuppa soups that have no bits in and find the dutch crispbakes with Philly Light spread really nice and go down too. Scared that I may feel I can eat anything, but that is probably a fear of everyone, you jumped on those scales yet?

Everyday gets better, not long till my hols then I will have a fill when I come back. Hope your feeling good too, you take care, love Susan x
