  2. Happy 54th Birthday Dee O!

  3. Hi Dee, You asked on my blog how long I've had my band and how I'm doing.

I've had my band since 10/16/2008 and I have lost 87 pounds. I love my band and I know if I followed the rules better I would have a larger weight loss. I have been excersing and I think I am losing inches but I have been stuck in the same area for a bout 3 months now. I haven't been to my dr. since Dec but I have an appt and hope to have atleast a 1 cc fill on Wednesday. I hope to get the weight loss moving again soon!!

    Thanks for responding!!!

  4. I think you are making great choices. Keep it up. It is an amazing journey. Best wishes I asked to be your friend. If you have any questions I may be able to help. Blogging always helps me keep my paws out of the cookie jar. Best wishes imaluckydog Kathy

Pre-Op Diet Day 4 and a little about myself

You have had a hard journey but it will be worth it. You are only 25, at 25 I was heavy and had no health problems other than weight. My doctor warned me year after year that I WOULD GET DIABETES....i didn't believe it, it wansn't in my family. Well the Dr was right and I tell you that was such a blow to me....unexceptable that I was told for all those years and paid no attention. It is a devistating feeling to know you caused yourself all the problems related to this disease. It took years but it happened to me. STICK WITH IT, you will get pregnant as the weight comes off and you will want to be healthy for those kids. My 21 year old broke down and cried when I told her I was having the surgery, I had no idea how much my weight and health hurt her....cries of happiness that I was going to be here for her. You are doing great, keep it up, it is worth it!

    48 Pounds Down!

Wow, you are going great, great attitude. I have to hear these comments to remind me that the band is a tool not a cure!

    My first blog post....

My surgeon put me on a liquid diet prior to surgery and after a few days I wasn't feeling hungry anymore it was quite filling, maybe that would help you get through for a couple more weeks.

    Food Addiction

Thank you. You voice my own thoughts about addiction, I can always simpathize with smokers, drug addicts etc as I truly believe I have the same addictive genes as they do. Others do not understand this. This is obviously going to be the biggest challenge. When did you have your band and how are you doing?

    changing bad habits

I just had my first fill. Did anyone have trouble changing bad habits .... eating too fast, trying something you know you should have and suffer the consequence....does it eventually sink in??
