First few weeks? Failure?
zinhaa replied to Bandakat412's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At the beginning not everyone loses so actually you are doing great. This is the time when you need to follow the rules and practice. Like the no drinking and chewing, and cutting small pieces taking 20 min And anyother rules your dr gives you. wendy -
Woohoo good going. Keep up the good work. wendy

Sorry catfish about your neighborhood. When Sandy hit my area was devastated too. I did an unusual amount today. 39 min in spin and another 4.5 riding there and back. You guys are amazing can't do as much as you but it's me against me!! Wendy

welcome back. You can do this. we are here for ya wendy -
I agree with all of the above. I can tell you somethings i do to get through. First of all i order off the regular menu. I insist on getting a take away bag to come with my meal. I immediately put food away before i begin eating to avoid over eating and grazing. Remember the rules of chew chew chew, small bites and putting the fork down. Sometimes the biggest issue for me is getting involved in conversation and not concentrating on eating and that is what gets me in trouble. Putting fork down and cutting up all of my food before i begin eating helps with that, Worst feeling to go to bathroom to get rid of it and there is a line. Good Luck and don't stress just breathe wendy

Mommy- even tho you don't have to- take smaller bites and chew chew chew anyway. it will take longer and your brain needs time to know you are satisfied. Measure your food and put the rest away. Journal as well not only to keep you accountable but to know what is satisfying you. Wendy

Basic KERF Recipe 1/3 cup rolled oats 1/3 – 1/2 cup milk [depending on how thick you like it] 1/3 cup plain yogurt 1/2 banana 1/2 tbsp chia seeds Pinch salt Pinch cinnamon Directions Stir everything together in a bowl. Place in fridge overnight. In the morning top with something crunchy and something with healthy fats – like nut butter or nuts. I use almond milk and greek yogurt. I leave out bananas cause i hate them and put other fruit. And you do not have to cook the oats (or oatmeal) wendy

How to learn your full signal before it's to late?
zinhaa replied to ChickenLady's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I would get a runny nose as well. There are so may of them. I agree with the others. Measure. Don't eat until your" full". It the amount you measured then be done. Your soft stop may come and go and change with each fill. Good luck. wendy -
Woohoo for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! great job. Wendy
