  1. If i remember correctly it took many days to even be able to drink a whole optifast. They say 64 oz and i couldn't drink that much at the beginning either just keep on sipping. Sometimes the protein drinks give you diarrhea. You sound like you doing great. wendy
  2. Rule one everyone is different. Some people lose at the beginning some don't. Losing so much weight at the beginning is great. As long as your following your drs orders you doing the right thing. Getting hungry- your right on track. Stick it out and don't give in to eat because you are in the healing phase Keep drinking and walk. Have you been eating sf jello or ice pops this is the season!! Good luck!   6. Hi and welcome to your new life. There are many rules to follow as well as foods to eat . The elusive "sweet spot " will come and go. It usually happens after a few fills. You need to ask your dr about the foods. You must always chew, chew ,chew and then chew some more. You need to eat very small pieces, make sure food isn't too dry. It should take between 20-30 min to eat. Less time you are eating too fast and more time you fall into the habit of grazing. You will have to figure out the difference between head hunger and real hunger and if you have a soft stop which signals you to stop eating. No drinking while eating - my dr says 30 min before and 60 min after. Thats a start. I am sure your dr can give you more rules if not people here are very knowledgeable. 1 thing i forgot to mention- Everyone is different so don't compare yourself to everyone else. Everthing we can tell you we learned from our own journeys. Good Luck Wendy

    Too Tight?

    If nothing stays down and your chewing and your taking small bits and eating slowly yes you can be too tight. Take it from one who has been there call your dr tomorrow. the longer you wait you can get complications.

    I can eat 3-4 oz of chicken. Apples and broccoli are totally out for me. I am not tight but only you will know
  15. Quinoa. If you lke it. Look up Rachel ray's recipe for orzo and chick pea and replace quinoa for the orzo delicious. It goes far wendy
  16. target has t's brand cheap. Ungury is the best but $$ To change the taste a bit I flavor with SF jello pudding powder. I use 1 teaspoon like cheese cake or butterscotch

    The most important thing you should know is that everyone is different. Some people can eat things others can't. People lose differently. Some of us are slow losers and some are faster. Follow the rules and drink the water and when your dr says its ok exercise. Good luck Wendy

    think tofu doesn't have t's own flavor unless it says specifically a flavor. It takes on the flavors of what it is cooked or mixed with. Be careful cause it comes in different textures.

  24. Take your time. Be there when you eat( being mindful). Put your fork down between bites. Take the time to cut really small pieces then use chop sticks to slow you down at the beginning
