Yeah I did all that same day (including bloodwork). Your doc might not have you take the pill that I'm taking. He said that they are over-causious about nausia bc they REALLY don't want us to throw up post-surgery. When I went to the hospital they did bloodwork, EKG and chest x-ray. I cannot remember for the life of me what the name of that pill was but it's a SINGLE pill that keeps the nausia away for 72 hours from the time you take it and it by itself was $40.00. I know that I have met my deductible for my BCBS but I have my prescription coverage through a different company, so it may be different if you have your prescriptions filled through your regular insurance company...I dont know how they do the whole "max out of pocket" thing when it comes to prescriptions. The doc also prescribed me a liquid anti-nausia medication as well as some liquid Loritab, but I hope that I won't be in any pain so I don't have to take it...I HATE taking medicine!
