it is so exciting that you are all doing well. The size thing is great. no fantastic, amazing and wonderful. I am down from size 32 to a 26 so that is my good news. I think that while some of us are not loosing, that our bodies and doing some kind of metabolizing. (don't even know if that is a word) anyway when we take a deep breath and get back on track (no snacks and picking) that our bodies will be ready to start loosing again. . I know that this sounds dumb. but how about if those who want to get together, hold hands (what do you call it on line) and support each other to have a good day tomorrow.. when we think of eating something we shouldn't we won't because it would break the chain of support. How sappy does that sound. I need really need support... trying to think of a gimmic....... well, I hope everyone has a good day.

Tomorrow I am going in for my 2nd fill. I am really excited. It seems like all I want to do is eat. I knew that this band wouldn't change my brain but there was always hope. Welcome LB012907, do you have another name that would be easier for us than numbers.. I agree with JDru, My experience with Dr. hansen was great and the staff is wonderful. good luck and keeps us up dated. -

ok you talked me into it. I will get up and get on my exercise bike. Thanks.. funny the last reply was 5 days ago and I am still inspired by them.. I am telling my self to quit being so sorry for myself for not loosing for 5 weeks. I am still the same. up and down but the same and----------------------------------------------I AM BELOW 300 POUNDS... :funscale: IGNORE THE TICKER.. IT IS BROKEN.. -
hello all, up and down all week. ended up at 0 gain 0 lost. Katt, you are going through a hard time. I am sorry about your ex. try to hang in there until your emotions get leveled out. if you feel like you have to emotional eat then try eating things that aren't sugar. those 100 calorie snack crackers are good, or there is always carrots. I am a fine one to talk, my emotional eating goes crazy. but It takes someone out of control to step back and help others. maybe it will help me too. get my 2nd fill thursday. does anyone have a 10 cc band? they only put in 1cc, how much will it hold until it closes off your throat? I can sometimes feel some restriction with 1cc. that doesn't seem like much I'm probably imagining it. things get stuck if I don't chew enough though. ok next question.. when you are getting used to the restriction should you eat casseroles or something soft or just dig into anything and try to remember to chew? best to all of you

Hi JDRU and everyone else. cold doesn't start to say how I feel. just want to climb into bed all day. I am a whimp when it comes to cold. anyway I have lost all my motivation to do this myself. I haven't lost permanently for about 6 weeks. just gain and loose, gain and loose. so next week I get my next fill. I am not too anxious to get one after listening to everyone but hopefully it will help. I have a 10 cc band and only have 1cc fill. well I have to go I think I need to be more positive. I'll try. oh yes tomorrow I am getting my second nerve block in my back. If it works again they will do something more permanent. I'll let you all know what happens. Have a great weekend - sandy -
quick report: up two pounds now back at 274. can't change my ticker. Hope everyone is doing well. later

It is so cold here in utah. I hear the mid county is suffering from cold too. anyone else an icycle???

I also walked in the pool. sorry I have to go. my husband just called me to come up stairs. he needs moral support. the cold water works on the 1st floor but not up stairs.. can the water freeze between floors in a warm house?? the weather outside is cold.. below freezing (how cold is it Karey?) anyway I guess I better hold his hand.. by for now

Hello Utah friends, My fill is scheduled at the end of the month. I seem to be back in control. As control as possible. In the last ten days I have lost 4 pounds, gained 4 pounds and lost 4 pounds. So I am at a loosing right now. until I weigh tomorrow. I ate one piece of pizza for lunch and probably 1 1/2 cups of spagetti for dinner. I do good and then without a fill I eat too much. Maybe I can stick with it tomorrow to offset any gain from today. Just too many carbs and fat... anyway glad you all are working on your fills like you are supposed to.. soon you will reach that soft spot and your new life will be underway.. sorry so depressed... better next time. I actually got 4 nerve block shots in my lower back today so i am not feeling too hot. bye for now -
Hi Karey I too weigh everyday. It didn't help me the last few days of eating everything in sight and gaining back the 3 pounds I lost this week. but usually It helps me keep my goal in sight. Actually I think it is a obsession because I really can't leave the bathroom until I weigh. I keep a paper there and write down weight and sometimes, BMI and %of water. I have a cool scale I got at Jenny Craig. My daughter is doing weight watchers. Is anyone here working a known program with their band. oh- what diet program are you using. Is there one I can download. I tried to figure out spark people. but I to admit that I am not very good on the computer. anyway I walked in the pool today for 1/2 hour breakfast: instant breakfast Lunch: tomato soup snack: tomato soup dinner: 1 corn tortilla with tomato soup poured on it with ground beef and cheese snack: nutrisystem caramel crunch popcorn.. found today at walmart. had about 3 pieces of popcorn and a ton of little crunch soy things.. not worth the calories.

I'm with you.. crappy plus.. I shouldn't the snow . but I guess I don't really . just the cold. I am anxious to have my next fill. I keep saying that I can do this but really I can't. I come home and eat junk.. still loosing but so slowly. only 3 pounds in the last month. of course that doesn't surprise me. that is my problem.. doing good and then poof... I get crazy.. obsession with food.. that is why I did this lapband... well happy snow to everyone.. Sandy -
Tami, what a good idea to post , that is really accountability plus it gives us ideas for food.. so I will join you: 1/3/07 B: low sugar instant breakfast, heated up like hot chocolate. I add Benefiber. L: about 1 cup homemade clam chowder S: clementine (small, as they all are) D: chicken from costco. 1 leg and 2 wings, two bites potatoe (stuffed from costco- gross) and broccoli S: low fat pudding (planned) no exercise unless walking around costco for 30 minutes counts. I did ride the stationary bike yesterday. I mostly don't plan my menu's just look for something in the fridge. not a good idea, that is why I like to hear from others and what they eat.

anyway the fill was easy. I laid down with a pillow in the small of my back. she found the port. put alcohol or something on it. gave me a little deading on the skin. then inserted the needle. I didn't feel the needle at all. and it was done. poof.. I don't know about restriction. stayed on fluid yesterday and mushie's today. but I don't think so on the first one. put in 1 cc in a 10 cc band. but it is the start on the road to restriction. I like it slower actually. then I can work up to it. happy new year to you.. hope you are successful in all you do.. -

Hello everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I had a hard time eating. toooo much tooooo often. anyway I got my first fill today. so I am ready to start again... HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU -
I wrote a couple of days ago and it must of gone the cyber space. Anyway I am excited about the new challenge and would love it if MimIn kept track. I got my first fill today. It was nothing. of course that is what you all said so I really wasn't worried. she gave me 1cc in a 10cc band. doesn't sound like much but she said if in a couple of weeks if I am still having a control problem that she would fit me in. otherwise fill 2 is in one month. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE oh does anyone know how to get the blank space off under the signature?

Congradulations Wheetsin and Denise... I am so impressed and feeling that I can do it too.. At my daughter's wedding in August I too had a marshmellow face.. When ever I see her video I remember why I did this. Down 42 and feeling better about myself and my face. but the question I have is when you start at 320 pounds does the double chin ever go away. especially when you are 56 and can't remember what elasticity is?? Also the pannus? does it shrink up or just look like in the movie Click? -
I made the challenge with one pound extra.. I really would like to join in the next challenge. Not sure how to keep track of weight.. But I'll try if no one else who is more computer savy want to. I vote for St. Patrick's day with an optional exercise challenge.. If we start on January 1, it is 11 weeks to the 17th of March.. If we lose 2 pounds a week it is 22 pounds. So I think 25 pounds is a good goal.. Do I have to count the 2 I gained in the last 2 days???

lost two!!!! amazing since I am sinking into a hole ... binging etc... so funny. I was so strong for almost 3 months and it is like a black cloud of hunger landed on me. my first fill will be Dec 28.. What is it with us that we all reach this point.. You know the hell with it . point. If I want to eat something I don't even try.. I actually lost 5 pounds this week and gained 3 back. but 2 is great. I love 2.. I'll keep 2..

glad you are doing so well. yes, I was hungry after I got over feeling sick from the surgery. I had chest pains too. They say it is the air they put in your abdomen to do the surgery. some people get it in the shoulder and others the chest. I don't think you can stretch out the pouch with just liquids. actually I think everything goes down, nothing stays in the little pouch. at this time don't try to diet too much.. go ahead and drink your liquids when you are hungry.. (within limits) when you get on mushies my dr told me to eat 2/3 of a cup 3 times a day... but the nutritionist told me to eat 3/4 to 1 cup. and some snacks.. I just kept track of calories and didn't go over 1,000 for a few weeks until I healed properly. but while on liquid I drank all I wanted .. not going over 1,000 calories.. You would be surprised how much you can drink. anyway we all have to do what we feel is right for us. the other ladies will probably tell you something different. also are you in the November banders group. It was really nice to hear what people who had just been through it or going through it did. Hang in there.. the pain goes away and before you know it you will be eating normal again..
