My surgery is Monday May 17th. I am soooo OVERLY scared about being put to sleep!! I think I might back out!!! I have been crying all day and can't seem to get a grasp on this..... I need help!!! How are you holding up??

Hello there! I am a May Bander! I had a tentative date for May 12th, but it is now May24th :thumbup: The hospital & my Surgeon's schedule just wasn't matching up, so it needed to be changed...unfortunately! I feel like I have a marathon of appointments coming up! My surgeon Sleep Clinic Psych Blood Gases Exercise & Rehab Nutrition And of course I have been going to all of the support group meetings, as many as possible that are available. I have been meeting all kinds of GREAT people at many stages of banding & bypass. They are all so great & helpful! I am so excited & was soooo disappointed to learn it was scheduled for 12 days later. But at least it's still in May. These next 7 weeks better fly on by!!! :thumbdown: Good luck to all other May banders! -

Hello everyone! I have finally made the decision to take control of my life and make this major lifestyle change. Any help & support you can lend is greatly appreciated. I am weighin in at 255 right now :thumbup: I am terribly uncomfortable to say the least! But I do have a question...I not a heavy drinker but I do like to go out & have drinks...I actually think I drink more for the sociability because I am so very heavy & relaxes me & takes my focus off of the weight & allows me to have my fun. So my question is what are the drinking restrictions? :biggrin:
